PDP Northern Youths Vanguard Condemns Political Crisis in Rivers State

The PDP Northern Youths Vanguard (NYV) strongly condemns the unconstitutional removal of Governor Siminalayi Fubara following the enforcement of Section 305 of the Nigerian Constitution and the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State. This reckless political maneuver threatens not only the stability of the state but also Nigeria’s economy and national security.

Rivers State, as a vital oil-producing region, is now at risk of unrest, economic sabotage, and militant resurgence. History has shown that instability in the Niger Delta leads to pipeline vandalism, fuel shortages, and economic hardship nationwide. The people of Rivers State should not be subjected to violence and chaos due to one man’s insatiable thirst for power.

The Minister Nyesom Wike is responsible for orchestrating this crisis in a bid to maintain political control. His actions endanger lives, disrupt governance, and create a breeding ground for militancy. We call on the federal government to prioritize stability over political interests and prevent a full-blown crisis.

Nigeria cannot afford another wave of insurgency and economic collapse. We urge all stakeholders to reject this power grab and demand accountability. The time for decisive action is now—before Rivers State, and by extension Nigeria, is plunged into deeper turmoil.

The PDP Northern Youths Vanguard is sadly announcing to the general public the untimely loss of our beloved Comrade Munnir Dan-Ige of Dange Shuni.

Before his death, Mal. Munnir is the Sokoto State Coordinator for PDP Northern Youths Vanguard, his commitments and efforts to actualizing the mandate of Atiku Abubakar and Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa during the 2023 Campaign season will forever be remembered.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his families, relatives, friends and the PDP in Sokoto state.

We pray that Allah SWA should reward him with the best place in Jannah.

An samu nasarar kawar da shugabannin ɓarayin da dama a wurare daban-daban da s**a haɗa da Danjibga, dajin ‘Yar tsakuwa, dajin Munhaye, dajin Kauran Zomo, dajin Dansadau, da kauyen Akuzo.

Ina sake jaddada wa al'ummar Jihar Zamfara cewa, da yardan Allah zan ci gaba da bin dukkan matakan da s**a dace don tabbatar da zaman lafiya a faɗin jiharmu mai albarka.
