Dear Brother,
Itโs in your interest that your wife is financially independent sir. I know some people have this crazy idea that when a woman has money, she starts misbehaving but itโs not in all cases. Infact, when a woman has money, she is rather more coordinated and valuable to you because it takes value to make money.
Now, let me give you reasons why it is in your interest;
๐In this day when even though dollar is dropping, the cost of things are constantly increasing, you definitely need some level of support. Even if you are Odogwu, there may be some days you may require some quick support.
๐When a woman has her own money, it does something to her esteem. You know how some men wish their wives to be more confident and expressive outside? Earning her own money and interacting with the world in all its form will make a woman be that one that can confidently stand by you and even stand in the gap when you are not there.
๐It is for the good of your children. In this day and age when children brag about their parents and are very competitive, your children will loose esteem if they have nothing to say about their mother other than, she cooks and prepares us for school. Her brain also need to be sharp for her to better support your own childrenโs development.
๐When a woman has her own money and is more valuable, she will even become more attractive to you, except you donโt like good things. How will you like to introduce your wife as the CEO of a multi-million Naira company? Even your friends will respect and admire you.
๐When you allow your wife the space to thrive and earn, she respects you more. Especially when you donโt just allow her the space but also support her through it. She feels indebted to you for your help and sacrifices and will remain loyal to you. But, when you donโt, she will quietly begin resent you for it until she gets the courage to break free.
And, if she is smart, she will be doing things quietly without you knowing leading to secrecy in the home. I am sure you will not like that.
