Normally, who doesn't love a denim fashion item.

This denim shoe doesn't only give that vintage vibe but it also screams sustainable recyclable fashion.

Would you rock this?

Tunde Owolabi, founder of Ethnik Afrika launched in the 2015 with the simple idea that to make aso-oke accessible and wearable beyond ceremonial use.

Ethnik Afrika creates sustainable, ethically produced fashion accessories from bold sneakers to statement bags handcrafted by local artisans in Lagos using Yoruba aso-oke, while deliberately supporting the artisan communities who still weave it.

Ethnik transforms indigenous aso-oke wears from seasonal craft into a thriving, continuous market.

Zainab Ashadu, the creative mind behind Zashadu, a brand redefining what African luxury looks like.

Founded in 2010, Zashadu specializes in handcrafted leather handbags made with sustainably sourced leathers, upcycled materials, and age-old tanning and dyeing techniques passed down through Northern Nigerian artisans. Every bag is more than an accessory; it’s a piece of cultural storytelling, carefully designed to marry heritage, elegance, and conscious living. She studied leather design in London and returned home to build Zashadu, not just as a fashion brand but as a movement for sustainable luxury.

For Zainab, entrepreneurship is more than profit. It’s about preserving traditions, creating jobs, and showing that African brands can stand tall in the global luxury space.

This is like the 2nd time we are hearing of Nigeria's booth being empty at an international trade event.

This is very disheartening for us who promote Made In Nigeria.

Personally, I am pleading with the Honourable Ministers of Trade and Investment and Foreign Affairs to use their good office to look into these issues.

Nigeria has qualitative made in Nigeria products that we believe can be displayed at these trade events.

Please let's tag these Ministries in the comment section
