"According to Psychologists, there are four types of Intelligence:

3) Social Quotient (SQ)
4) Adversity Quotient (AQ)

1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ): this is the measure of your level of comprehension. You need IQ to solve maths, memorize things, and recall lessons.

2. Emotional Quotient (EQ): this is the measure of your ability to maintain peace with others, keep to time, be responsible, be honest, respect boundaries, be humble, genuine and considerate.

3. Social Quotient (SQ): this is the measure of your ability to build a network of friends and maintain it over a long period of time.

People that have higher EQ and SQ tend to go further in life than those with a high IQ but low EQ and SQ. Most schools capitalize on improving IQ levels while EQ and SQ are played down.

A man of high IQ can end up being employed by a man of high EQ and SQ even though he has an average IQ.

Your EQ represents your Character, while your SQ represents your Charisma. Give in to habits that will improve these three Qs, especially your EQ and SQ.

Now there is a 4th one, a new paradigm:

4. The Adversity Quotient (AQ): The measure of your ability to go through a rough patch in life, and come out of it without losing your mind.

When faced with troubles, AQ determines who will give up, who will abandon their family, and who will consider su***de.

Parents please expose your children to other areas of life than just Academics. They should adore manual labour (never use work as a form of punishment), Sports and Arts.

Develop their IQ, as well as their EQ, SQ and AQ. They should become multifaceted human beings able to do things independently of their parents.

Finally, do not prepare the road for your children. Prepare your children for the road.

Many schools don't do it

They don't care about it and this is where you can step in to dominate

How do you consistently educate your parents

Firstly you can

Some people are afraid to do this I know

But it's a powerful educative tool for your school

You can use this simple tool to showcase your school on a daily basis making the parents to take what you do serious

If you are still printing end of session news letters to educate your parents

I can boldly tell you that you are a school owner of the past

Why wait 12-14 weeks to talk about the things happening in your school that your parent will never get to read

Why do this to yourself?

When daily updates can roll out to parents without fail

To sweeten the pot;

You can do this in two ways

1. You can educate them just using one WhatsApp group for general information

Or

2. You can create a class by class education for them

*Don't Pay Me For This Growth Tip*

You see, when it comes to school setting, ORDER is very very key.

Infact, order is part of the intricate desire of Humans

Wherever you perceive anything goes, you naturally lose value for that thing.

If you get to a place for example, and you are asked to line up before you are attended too, It immediately communicates seriousness and you adjust

You tell people on the queue where your space is

Order immediately communicates value to Human though they might not accept it right there but they see that this person knows what he/she is doing

Just like the last post about "Tinted hair or not"

Your school must be an orderly school

And whatever that order is, must be defined by you

*If you don't stand for anything, you will fall for everything*

Parents will pay more for an orderly school and treat a school that allows everything with disdain

Infact I have seen this many times;

A school that allowed parents to do what they like, pay when they like, visit when they like etc

The annoying part about a place where there is no order is that;

Parents become angry when school demand their rights and do things in order

I don't know why the nature of humans are like that... I really don't know

People take advantage of lack of rules but regard an environment where there are rules and order

Most times, people can have fun around you and enjoy themselves around you but what stays with people is what you did to make them better

In a traditional business you can do as you like.

But in a school setting where life building and life moulding is taking place

This is very worrisome

When a Teacher Crosses the line

Why is Sacking the first thing that comes to mind?

I am just curious to know

*Why exactly do they like starting again?*

Does this mean that schools that have staff for years staying in some schools are angels

I am just curious to know

What's the balance between being angry and running an effective organisation that takes care of staff excesses?

Why is anger always in the air?

For me it's not a good sign.

Does every offense means we must part ways?

How many people are we going to keep employing?

This thought is just running through my mind

*Leadership error is leading error*

Being a school owner is not easy I tell you

Cause you have to manage people

I was discussing an essential topic with a colleague and that's where I extracted this topic from

But I thought I should bring it out for life builders to ponder on too

I asked lots of questions and I got really fabulous answers from my colleague

Ranging from sacking so as not to pollute the system to others like policy should be followed.

None is wrong cause we all have a place and experience that validates our claim

But I believe what helps my own leadership is what is at my core.

My core leadership experience and training comes from the church setting personally

So I see things a bit different

For example;
*You can't fire people from coming to church due to bad behaviour, you make sure they are mentored out of their mess*

In the leadership of a church (elders, deacon and all)

Most don't collect salary

So you as the leader have to motivate people to be faithful to their work which they are not paid for

And guess how you do that

*Your Exemplary Attitude to Work as a Leader*

If you don't take your department serious and your commitment to work is low, Nobody will.

People are not paid in church to do things in the first place so they will do what they want and nothing to hold them

Unlike a work environment where people's salary can be threatened

The mix of that experience with my organizational understanding influences how I treat people

So in my core;

1. _I believe people should be mentored from day 1 of your organisation_

2. _I believe there should be written guidelines to help keep people in check_

3. _I believe the leader of an organisation should be experienced and be a worthy example *Servant Leadership*_

4. _I believe you should create a system convenient and good enough that parents/workers will prefer to stay with you rather than go somewhere else or start their own_
