π’ The State-Level Validation Workshop on Digital Gaps in Borno and Yobe States was held on January 22-23, 2025
ZOA International with funding from the European Union in Nigeria facilitated this Validation Workshop to present key findings from a comprehensive study on ''Digital gaps due to age, disability, geography, socio-economic status, discrimination, and migration in Borno and Yobe States. The workshop provided a platform for stakeholders, policymakers, and experts to discuss critical digital inclusion challenges and explore strategic solutions.
The research findings were presented by Mr. Adamu Justus, the consultancy teamβs Team Leader, highlighting major challenges, gaps, and opportunities in advancing digital literacy and inclusion.
Stakeholders made contributions including the representatives from ZOA, Government agencies, academia, and civil society emphasizing the importance of embedding digital literacy into education, tackling security and power challenges, and fostering stronger collaborations for digital inclusion.
On Policy & Programmatic Recommendations, stakeholders agreed on prioritizing curriculum integration, CSO engagement, and government commitment to enhance digital accessibility, particularly for women, people with disabilities, and marginalized communities.

This validation workshop marked a significant step toward bridging the digital divide and ensuring inclusive digital access for all.
