Our speaker works in Tech as an Operations Analyst in Belfast, with prior experience in the financial and professional services industries, including time at PwC.

Helena’s life journey has played a key role in shaping her purpose. After aging out of the foster care system as a teenager and living in supported accommodation for homeless youth, her passion lies in supporting young people and women in the community, and she hopes to combine her professional skills and wellness expertise to make a lasting, positive impact.

Our Host is a South African born and raised in the east of Johannesburg. She is a Master’s candidate in International Relations at the University of Johannesburg, specializing in diplomacy, regional integration, and policy-driven research.

Through her work at an NGO focused on sexual and reproductive health, she contributes to grant writing, business development, and strategic initiatives that expand healthcare access for women and young girls.

Her research explores the intersection of gender, policy, and digital transformation, with a focus on decolonization and governance. She has also participated in international forums focused on global diplomacy, advocating for inclusive policies that empower marginalized communities.
