This year, World Patient Safety Day focuses on people living with (NCDs), including cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes and chronic respiratory diseases. Because NCDs often require long-term care and repeated interactions with health systems, safety risks can arise throughout the care journey, from prevention and diagnosis to treatment, long-term management and self-care.
