Sometimes the most interesting moments are the ones that feel quietly inevitable. After exchanging emails and ideas online, it was a real pleasure to finally meet the CEO of Quantropi, , in person at the Quantum Technologies Opportunities event in Ottawa. Behind every emerging technology are conversations, relationships, and shared curiosity about what the future demands.

2 things have struck me about him: the clarity of his vision and his deep rootedness in his faith (he was not ashamed to talk about it in our first meeting.

In a world racing toward quantum breakthroughs, and the risks that come with them, is helping build the trust layer that will allow innovation to move forward with confidence.

Deep respect for the foresight and steady leadership required to trail the blaze in a space that will define how securely we build the digital future!

You would have missed an important detail in this post if you didn’t take a close look at the picture in the first slide.

Many moons ago, I got a streak on Snapchat- it was my picture with a “friend”. The caption read “big head”. Now, if you grew up in my generation and within the cultural setting that I did, you should already know what it means when a love interest calls you a big head. It was a language of its own… especially among ladies.

The popular Nigerian saying: ‘if you don’t get it, forget about it’ won’t apply here. So, if you truly did not already know what it meant, I’ll tell you - you’re welcome. Big head within the context I shared, implied: I like you; I love you; I am happy here, and things like that.

But why wouldn’t you just say, “I love you” instead of name-calling? I don’t know yet. But here we are in 2026, more than 11 years since that the picture in the first slide was taken.

So today, I just want to say happy Valentine’s Day big head ❤️. Not that I can’t just say that I love you, but I remember that I’ve never gotten to call you big head all these years, and today feels like the perfect opportunity.

The whole world will never forget COVID-19 and the disruptions it caused, and Trump’s second tenure (aka second coming) and the disruptions that are coming with it.

For instance, Canada is being faced with the challenge of their long-time best friends and ally, the United States of America, switching off on them. Trump’s government has now imposed tariffs on importation from Canada, but that’s not all. There are policies that affect security and intelligence sharing, aid to Canada, among others.

African Canadians came together to discuss how to take advantage of the opportunities that these disruptions have created to:

1. Design a response to protect the country they now call home - Canada, especially its capital, Ottawa.

2. Leverage the disruption to foster cross-border businesses relationships between Canada and the African continent and to tackle the barriers to trade.

3. Design solutions that help both Africans-owned and other Canadian businesses develop resistance to the adverse effect that this disruption could potentially bring.

It was indeed a privilege that I, on behalf the rest of the team was so invited to facilitate the conversations that border on the economy of Canada and Africa too.

Thanks to these set of amazing leaders:

Powers that we are not using. Books we bought but we aren’t reading. Potentials and opportunities we aren’t tapping into.

I was a guest at a special celebration event in Ottawa. Typical of such events, much was said about the African heritage. Much more was said about the potentials. It got me thinking about a Japanese word: “tsundoku”—the habit of collecting books but never reading them.

And I don’t want to talk o.

The picture speaks.

One of the biggest privileges of my life is to both watch grow, and to continue to grow with her.

The princesses and I are blessed to have such a wise woman in our lives. Her contributions transcend our ‘world’ into corners of earth-some of which we have not physically been. Lives are improving and getting better because of her and her contributions to God’s own earth.

As we (the princesses and I) officially begin to count down to her 30th birthday anniversary, more than anything, our hearts are filled with gratitude to the One from whom all blessings flow; the great God of heaven. We are thankful for the gift of her and His endowments upon her - the endowments with which she contributes to making the world a better place (one community after the other).

Happy birthday in advance to the love of my life, . I dey for you.

Getting ready! And no, it’s not so much about what’s happening with the Gregorian calendar. It’s really about to be a new season in Jesus’s name.

I am thankful for God’s mercy in the last season [it is because of Him that we always win], and for the blessings of the new season.

I’ll tell you about the very last slide of the carousel ☝🏾; it’s not about parking and preaching, but about the cost of vision and dreams. It’s the entire essence of this post. But not just that, an appreciation for people like who do what they do to share in the burden and pay part of the cost for other people’s dreams and visions.

There are people who have chosen to migrate out of the continent for whatever reasons, but have chosen to hold on to their entrepreneurial dreams. These people are bold, and audacious. The cost of their decision is very high. Communities like the one leads in Toronto - are really important in helping to bear the burdens with these “crazy” people.

For those who are still on the continent, and schooling at tertiary institutions, is now here, also, to bear part of the cost of building a company as a student.

Because in life, it doesn’t always have to be this or that, it can be this and that. You can migrate and still pursue your entrepreneurial dream, you can be a student and be a founder - many successful startup founders in Nigeria today, started their journeys as students. You can be raising your children and building your business (check with ). It can be this and that. There are people who have made it their life’s goal to support you.

Happy birthday, broski . You’re a good man. You’ve been good to me, and you deserve goodness today and everyday, for the rest of your very long and prosperous life. Continue to blossom and flourish, in Jesus’s name!
