Many women were never directly told to shrink.
But we were praised every time they did.
Be polite.
Be agreeable.
Donât sound too strong.
Donât look like youâre doing too much.
So we learned to downplay our wins.
We price our work lower than itâs worth.
We soften our opinions so everyone stays comfortable.
Meanwhile, someone with less experience is confidently charging five times more.
Itâs not that you lack confidence.
Itâs that you were conditioned to make yourself smaller.
And conditioning can be unlearned.
You can say your price without apology.
You can share your opinion without shrinking.
You can take up space.
You were never meant to be small.
If this resonates with you, comment âRISE.â
Letâs start unlearning together. â¨
