I found myself in an office space that has mixed gender. While waiting to meet with a potential customer, these mixed gender were having heated discussion on the topic, "cheating".

From their discussion, I deduced that it was limited to relationship. Mind you, not business nor political. And what was their bone of contention, infidelity as in having an affair with another partner.

A cursory look at a typical dictionary states the meaning as "An act of deception, fraud, trickery, imposture, imposition or infidelity."

You know what I did?

I drew their attention to the six words,
*deception
*fraud
*trickery
*imposture
*imposition
*infidelity

and asked, why dwelling on infidelity. Yes, it is the height of cheating, for me, but we should as well critically consider others.

All these are painful if found or discovered in any relationship.

Now, be sincere and ask yourself, I'm I deceptive, fraudulent, trickish, ...... unfaithful to my partner?

If found wanting in any of it, kindly shun.

For those that are not, pray for more grace.

TINUBU ORDERS RELEASE OF FOUR MONTH'S LECTURERS ’ SALARIES WITHHELD OVER ASUU STRIKE

PRESIDENT Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the partial waiver of the “No Work, No Pay” Order that was instituted against striking members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) following the commencement of their eight-month industrial action which began on February 14, 2022 and was terminated on October 17, 2022.

Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, announced this in a statement on Friday.

He said the president invoked the Principle of the Presidential Prerogative of Mercy.

The president directed the grant of the waiver with a mandatory requirement that the Federal Ministry of Education and the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment must secure a Document of Understanding (DoU) establishing that this exceptional waiver granted by the President will be the last one to be granted to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and all other Education Sector Unions.

Days back, I needed to top up my cash as I was to embark on a short trip to my hometown.

I approached the POS attendant to transfer to his POS account directly since I wasn't with my ATM card. Unfortunately, my network was terribly bad. After several attempt, I wanted to give up, then a surprise alternative was presented

The attendant offered me the use of either his mifi or hotspot which worked out and the transaction consumated.

POS operators or attendants, kindly borrow sense from this guy.

Your guess as per the tribe of the attendant is as good as mine.

I have observed closely celebrations of teachers on this day are mostly centered around school's teachers.

Looking at the first part of the definition of teacher as, "a person who teaches...". To teach is to transfer knowledge. You will agree with me that I will be extremely right to wish all those who have transfered knowledge to me knowingly or unknowingly... Happy Teacher's Day to them.

Then the second part says, "...especially one employed in a school" This, in my opinion goes to school teachers who did what they did to make me who I am... Happy Teacher's Day to them too.

My parents, my wife, my children, my school teachers, my neighbours, my colleagues, my pastors, my business partners, and everyone that I have learnt from in one way or the other... Happy Teacher's Day
