LOVE, TOO, IS FOR YOU.

I remember being asked to just say hello to some students who were about leaving school.

And honestly, I was caught in between, “What exactly am I supposed to say to them?”

There were so many things I could say.

But somewhere in the middle of my little talk, I found myself talking about 1 Corinthians 13 — *love is patient, love is kind…*

After the video, I kept asking myself, “Why did I have to say that to them?”

And then it made sense.

Because when we read that scripture, we often read it as instructions for how we should treat another person.

Be kind to them.
Be patient with them.
Persevere with them.
Be gentle with them.
Love them well.

But what if we read it differently too?

What if, before asking ourselves how well we are expressing love to others, we asked ourselves how well we are expressing it to ourselves?

Life sometimes doesn't always go as planned.

Sometimes the plan will work.
Sometimes it won't.
Sometimes you'll know exactly what you're doing.
Sometimes you'll be figuring it out as you go.
There will be mistakes, disappointments, delays, unexpected turns, and seasons where you may feel like everyone else has it figured out except you.

And in those moments, be kind to yourself.

When you don't get it right, be patient with yourself.

When things don't happen when you thought they would, don't become cruel to yourself.

When you have to start again, give yourself the grace to start again.

When you are still figuring things out, remember that you are still worthy of love.

Maybe 1 Corinthians 13 isn't only about how we should love the person beside us.

Maybe it is also an invitation to look at ourselves and ask:

How much kindness have I shown myself?

How patient have I been with myself?

How much grace have I given myself?

Because before we always think of love as something we portray towards another person, perhaps we should remember that we are also people deserving of the love we so freely give.

So today, don't just read “love is patient, love is kind…” and think about another person.

Read it and think about you.

Because even you deserve all that love speaks of 💜

Sometimes, all it takes is one unpleasant report for us to forget all the things God has already brought us through.

And lately, I’ve been thinking about Hezekiah and the simple reminder that sometimes, we just need to remember.

Remember His faithfulness.
Remember His past answers.
Remember the prayers that became testimonies.
Remember who He is.

Because this situation may be new to you, but it is not new to God.

So whatever this season brings, before you allow the report to become your conclusion...

There was a time when I was in between business and confusion.

Sales had been here and there, and I was thinking so much about what could be wrong and what I needed to do differently.

At some point, I reached out to one of my suppliers and told her the issue I was facing in my business.

She advised me, and sincerely, what she said was something I had not even considered.

But it made so much sense.

And it reminded me that sometimes, when you have spent weeks or months thinking through a situation, what you may actually need is to talk to someone who has been there before you.

Someone who has walked that road.

Someone who has faced that particular challenge in business, marriage, school, career, or even life generally.

Sometimes, all you need to ask is:

“What was it like for you? What did you do when you were here?”

And you may be surprised that the clarity you have been searching for for months could come in a few minutes of conversation.

You are not always supposed to figure everything out alone.

Sometimes, someone is already on the other side of the road, waiting to tell you, “I have been here before. Let me show you what I learned.”

Ask questions.

Seek counsel.

Be willing to learn from people who have gone ahead of you.

You may just find the clarity you need to take your next step.

You are not alone. 🤍

I remember seeing this Naira note last week and thinking, “Wow, this must be some random old Naira note someone just kept somewhere.”

Then I checked the date.

2026.

I was like, “Oh! This is new.” 😂

Old but new.

And somehow, I thought about how much this is like life.

Sometimes, you’re just moving, living, growing, and going about your business, and then something from the past suddenly finds its way back to you.

A memory.

A person.

A moment.

A feeling.

And for a moment, it doesn’t even feel old. It feels like it just happened.

Sometimes those memories make us smile. We remember something beautiful and we’re grateful we experienced it.

Other times, they come and we wonder, “Why did I have to remember this?”

But perhaps that’s just part of being human.

There are some things we may never completely move away from. Some memories will always exist somewhere in us. They may resurface from time to time, but that doesn’t mean we have to return to where they came from.

So, whether the memory is good or bad, remember this:

You are in your present.

The past may visit, but it doesn't have to take over.

You still get to decide what you do with today. You still get to determine how far you go from here.

So keep moving.

Keep living.

Keep becoming.

And stay in the present. 💜

Some Prayers Have Become Testimonies.

Last week, I was doing the dishes in the morning.

No music.
Nothing playing in the background.
Just me and the dishes.

And suddenly, I remembered a prayer point I used to pray almost every minute.

I tried to remember the last time I prayed about it, but I couldn't.

And somehow, that realization broke me.

I started crying.

Because I thought, Wow. So there can actually come a point where something you prayed about for so long is no longer a prayer point because it has become an answered prayer.

And I just kept thinking about how faithful God is.

Surely, there is an end.

“The expectation of the righteous shall not be cut off."

There are still many things I am trusting God for. There are still prayers I carry. There are still moments when I ask, “God, when?”

But that moment reminded me of something important:

He answers.

There are things I once held onto so tightly in prayer. Things that felt like my life depended on receiving an answer from heaven.

And God answered.

Somewhere along the way, life moved on. I grew. Circumstances changed. And I stopped praying about some of those things because the answer had already come.

I had simply forgotten.

Maybe you have forgotten too.

Maybe there was a time you prayed about something every morning, afternoon and night.

“God, when?”
“When will this happen?”
“When will You come through?”
“When will this prayer become a testimony?”

And perhaps, silently, the answer came.

You have grown beyond the prayer point.

The child you once prayed for is now grown.

The opportunity you cried over is now part of your story.

The provision you desperately needed came.

The door you asked God to open opened.

The thing you once thought you couldn't live without became something you no longer even remember asking for.

Some prayers have become testimonies, and we didn't stop to notice.

So today, maybe take a moment to look back.

Remember what you once asked God for.

Remember the things you thought would never change.

Remember the prayers you were almost tired of praying.

And thank Him.

Because the God who answered then is still the God you can trust now.

There are still things ahead.

There are still prayers to pray.

There are still expectations to hold onto.

But when the waiting feels long, remember what He has already done.

He that answered before is faithful still.

God can be trusted.

And surely, there is an end. 🤍

Ask for feedback.

As long as you are rendering a service or providing something that people are making use of, ask for feedback.

And don’t just ask for it casually. Make people feel comfortable enough to actually tell you what they think.

Last week, on my way to make my hair, I stopped at a shop to get egg roll.

After I got it, the woman said something that caught my attention.

She said, “If you notice anything or there’s anything at all, just let me know. I’m looking forward to hearing your feedback.”

And honestly, it made me smile.

Because she had already created room for me to come back and say what I genuinely thought about it – whether it was good or bad.

She had made it clear that she was receptive.

So after making my hair, I was on my way back when she noticed me and remembered that I was the person who bought the egg roll earlier.

She stopped me and asked, “How was it?”

And I told her, “It was really nice. Perfect. Nothing was wrong with it.”

She asked again, almost like she wanted to be sure.

And I was like, “Yes, it was good!”

That interaction reminded me of something important:

If you offer a service or sell a product, you need to make room for feedback.

Sometimes, you think you're doing everything right because nobody has complained.

But silence doesn't always mean satisfaction.

People may simply not feel comfortable enough to tell you what they really think.

And that is why asking matters.

Ask your customers.

Ask your clients.

Ask the people using your products or services.

Ask what they liked.

Ask what they didn't like.

Ask what could be better.

And when you ask, let them know that you're genuinely open to hearing the answer.

Because feedback helps you see the things you may not see by yourself.

And beyond improving your product or service, it builds trust.

People are more likely to come back when they know they can tell you the truth and you will actually listen.

So, whether the feedback is good or bad,

make room for it.

Ask for feedback.

You might learn something that makes your business better.

I've heard a lot about influence.

About kingmakers.

About how one person can speak for you, and suddenly, a door that has been closed for a long time opens – not necessarily because you forced it open, but because someone who already has access decided to mention your name.

I've heard about people who are already living in a reality you once thought was impossible, and somehow, they reach back, bring you in, and suddenly you're experiencing that reality too.

But sometimes, hearing about these things is different from actually experiencing them.

Lately, I've been experiencing a little bit of that, and honestly… WOW. 😂

I've been posting on Instagram and also seeing other people's posts and I've been seeing numbers that make me pause and ask:

"Wait… are these numbers real?" 😂

Yesterday, I made a post about Abbatoir Season 6, Episode 8.

That post took forever to upload. 😂

At some point, I was like, "It's already late. Should I just delete it and post tomorrow?"

But I left it.

I had also tagged Sir Damilola Mike-Bamiloye in the post and honestly didn't think much of it.

Then I woke up this morning and saw that he had reposted my post.

And the engagement?
The likes.
The reposts.
The views.

Everything.

I've never seen 2K views on my post before, and I'm just looking at my screen like…

WOW.

So these things aren't imaginary.

These possibilities are real.

Sometimes, one person simply deciding to amplify what you're doing can introduce you to a room you didn't even know you could enter.

I wasn't trying to get his attention.

I simply watched the movie, genuinely got blessed by a particular part of it, and felt the need to share what it taught me.

And somehow, that little act of sharing opened up something I wasn't expecting.

So, Sir, I just want to say thank you.

Thank you for being a blessing.

Thank you for the work you and the entire Mount Zion team are doing through film.

Thank you for the opportunity to see that some of the things we've only heard people talk about are actually possible.
