It’s no longer news that we started a publishing firm, one of our subsidiaries under BlueRoom Group , because we wanted African authors to finally experience what top-notch publishing truly feels like.
But what we haven’t shared in depth is why we expanded into three distinct branches:
1. BlueHive Publishers
2. BlueHive Store (App)
3. BlueHive Academy
The truth is, we’ve seen far too many authors pour their heart, sweat, and sacrifice into birthing a book only for it to sit unsold, gathering dust. That reality broke me. We believe deeply that every author should profit from their work. A book is not just paper and ink; it’s years of life, wisdom, and sacrifice condensed into pages. To see it remain unread is to see vision buried alive.
So, like the usual us, we asked a bigger question: What’s the solution?
That’s how BlueHive Store App was born. The foremost platform in Africa where readers can buy, read, and listen to books. Not just in one format, but across ebooks, audiobooks, and even hardcopy deliveries. It’s the marketplace we’ve all been waiting for, the bridge between authors and readers, without barriers.
But we didn’t stop there.
We also saw that authors need more than just publishing and sales; they need skills, structure, and strategy. That’s why we built the BlueHive Academy. A hub where we don’t just teach writing, but also empower authors and creatives with 21st-century skills. From ghostwriting to digital publishing, from marketing to personal branding, from storytelling to editing, we designed the Academy to be the launchpad for authors who don’t just want to publish, but want to thrive.
Because for us, publishing is not business, it is legacy.
And that’s the BlueHive vision in motion:
BlueHive Publishers — where your manuscript becomes a masterpiece.
BlueHive Store (App) — where your book finds its readers.
BlueHive Academy — where you grow the skills to sustain your influence.
At BlueHive, we don’t just want to print books. We want to architect influence, multiply voices, and preserve African stories.
Because for us, publishing is not business it’s legacy.
