A friend reached out to me today, sharing his experience as a victim of overthinking.
He bought his land and immediately offload 2000 blocks on the land.
His plan was to build a 3 bedrooms bungalow, and his engineer quoted a little over ₦20M to complete the project.
Instead of starting construction with the amount he had, he waited until he could afford at least half of the total cost.
Months later, he discovered that thieves had stolen most of the blocks, leaving him with less than 1000 blocks.
If he had begun construction with the amount he had initially which was ₦5M, he would have at least built the structure to window level.
This experience should teach you that when starting a building project, it's essential to begin with the available resources and progress as more funds arrived.
This approach is the fastest way to construct a building. Similarly, when buying land, don't wait for the "Perfect" time, as it may never come.
Start with what you have, and take advantage of opportunities as they arise.
