JAMB ACTIVATES CENTRAL ADMISSION PROCESSING SYSTEM (CAPS) FOR THE 2026 ADMISSION EXERCISE

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has activated the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) for the 2026 admission exercise.. paving the way for candidates to monitor and manage key admission-related activities.

With the portal now active, candidates can log in to verify their personal profiles, confirm their chosen institutions and courses, and prepare for subsequent admission processes across universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other tertiary institutions.

Candidates can now access and view the following details on the JAMB CAPS portal:

โœ… Biodata (including raw UTME score)
โœ… Institution and course choices
โœ… O'Level results
โœ… Admission status

Prospective candidates are advised to regularly monitor their CAPS dashboard for updates regarding their admission process.

JAMB to Activate Printing of 2026 UTME Original Result Slips

Candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be able to print their Original Result Slips within two hours on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

According to the notice, the Original Result Slip contains the candidate's photograph, national ranking and other security features required for post-UTME screening and admission processes by tertiary institutions.

Candidates can print the document from any internet-enabled device or through accredited business centres.

They are also advised to carefully verify all information on the slip after printing and keep copies for future admission purposes.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the deadline for the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) registration exercise to June 15th, 2026, offering fresh opportunities to eligible candidates who are yet to complete their applications.

The extension comes after the Board had earlier fixed June 5th, 2026 as the closing date for the exercise, following its commencement in March.
