♻️ Every month, we take 40 tons of plastic waste out of Akure’s streets, drains, and landfills.
That’s 40,000 kilograms of bottles, sachets, and other plastics that would have polluted our roads, blocked drainage, and ended up in our environment for centuries.
To put it in perspective:
That’s about 2 million plastic bottles every month.
Enough to fill 16 big trucks to the brim.
Or the weight of 20 average cars. 🚗🚗
But here’s the beautiful part — these plastics don’t just disappear. We collect, sort, and bale them for recycling ♻️, turning waste into raw material that powers a circular economy.
👉🏽 Every bottle collected = a cleaner street.
👉🏽 Every ton processed = less flooding during the rains.
👉🏽 Every kilo recycled = less pressure on our environment.
This is what impact looks like.
And it’s possible because of YOU — the communities, partners, and volunteers who make it happen month after month. 💚
Together, we’re not just cleaning Akure. We’re building a future where waste becomes value. 🌍
✨ Imagine what 1 year looks like: 480 tons saved.
Now imagine 5 years. 🚀
We’re just getting started.
