PARENTS ARE DREAM KILLERS.
Dr. Cosmas Maduka, founder of Coscharis Group.
He said; at 11 years old, he rode a motorbike with ease. No fear. No hesitation.
Just a young boy discovering what he was capable of.
Years later, his own son turned 16 and wanted to do the exact same thing.
Dr. Maduka said no.
"You will kill yourself."
He kept saying no, even when his son begged and pleaded.
But one of his sons did something. He disobeyed.
He went ahead and learned to ride anyway.
And today?
Dr. Maduka and that son ride motorbikes together on weekends.
The billionaire on his BMW 1600cc.
His son is on the Suzuki.
Then Dr. Maduka asked a question;
"Why did I think I had better sense than my son at the same age I was riding?"
The answer is......
FEAR
And fear dressed up as protection has killed more dreams than failure ever has.
Here's what he said that hit hardest,
"Sometimes it is good to miss a road. Because if you never miss a road, you will never discover a new road."
You are not protecting your child by removing every risk.
You are removing every lesson.
Every discovery.
Every version of themselves they could have become.
The dream didn't die because your child wasn't capable.
It died because someone who loved them said no, too many times.
Think about that.
See you soon.
