HOW DO AFFILIATE MARKETERS EARN?
This was the question asked during a class, but before I say anything first I will like to say what affiliate marketing is, the requirements, what you do as an affiliate marketer, how you earn and get paid.
Ok so let's dive in,
Affiliate marketing is all about promoting other people's business it could be a product or a service. You see this every time you go to the big markets around, you see those guys saying brother/aunty wetin you won buy, I get am for shop them they take you to one shop inside the market, that shop is not for them and when you buy the owner of the shop gives them a settlement in commission in terms of percentage.
So as an affiliate marketer your job is to recommend useful and helpful products/service to people who needs them and can afford them. You promote by posting on your WhatsApp status, Facebook, Instagram ads etc
The major requirements are a computer or smartphone with internet connection, debit card to make payments (it could be for website, autoresponder, ads etc) and knowledge (this is where you will be needing training as how to pick products, do research, and how to sell)
You earn in commission it could be 20,30,40,50, 60% of the product amount and this percentage is determined by the products owner as different product owners have different commission, so when a prospect(customer) buys through your promotion you get paid, mind you, you have a unique code(number) that makes the owner know the buyer is from you as there are so many affiliate marketers.
There are so many affiliate platforms today, why some are free to register some you pay a certain amount, and during registration you provide your bank account details and other information so that you can be reached when you make sales
