Rotary Clubs Donate Medical Equipment and Maternal Care Items to Oluku Primary Health Centre
The Rotary Club of Benin New Etete, in collaboration with other Rotary Clubs under Rotary International District 9141, has reaffirmed its commitment to improving maternal and child healthcare through a humanitarian outreach at the Oluku Primary Health Centre, Benin City.
During the outreach, the participating clubs donated essential medical equipment, including an oxygen cylinder and a delivery bed, to support safer childbirth and improve the quality of healthcare services available at the centre. Delivery kits and other essential care items were also presented to pregnant women and nursing mothers in the community.
The President of the Rotary Club of Benin New Etete, Rtn. Ikhide Okaisabor, joined other Rotarians and distinguished guests at the event. Also present were former Permanent Secretary to the Edo State Government, Rtn. Dr. Osamwonyi Irowa, former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Elizabeth Ativie, and several other notable Rotary leaders.
The project, which focused on maternal and child health, demonstrates Rotary’s dedication to providing practical solutions to the healthcare needs of underserved communities. Beyond donating equipment, the outreach brought encouragement and support to mothers while strengthening the capacity of the health centre to provide essential maternal services.
The Rotary Club of Benin New Etete appreciates all the participating Rotary Clubs, Rotarians, healthcare workers, community members and partners whose contributions made the outreach successful.
We also appreciate Independent Television and Radio, ITV/Radio, for covering the event and helping to create greater awareness of Rotary’s humanitarian activities.
Together, we continue to Unite for Good and create lasting change in our communities.
