SO YOU THINK AVOIDING INVERTER IS POOR PEOPLE MENTALITY? 😂
Someone made the attached comment under my last post and I laughed. Because I understand. But my point was never about money.
Yes, DC appliances are expensive too.
DC Fridge can be 2x the price of normal AC fridge. So if we’re talking upfront cost, inverter route might even be cheaper.
My point is about RELIABILITY.
With Inverter + AC devices:
- When inverter spoils, your whole house is dark.
- Battery drains faster because power is being converted.
- After some years, you may be buying new inverter again.
With DC devices and No-Inverter:
- Fewer things to spoil.
- Battery lasts longer on the same charge.
- Less moving parts = Less wahala.
So it’s not "poor people mentality".
It’s "I’m tired of inverter wahala mentality" 😂
Real talk:
If money was not the issue, and you just wanted the setup with least maintenance, which one would you pick?
A: AC devices + Inverter - Cheaper to start, but more to maintain
B: DC devices, No Inverter - Expensive to start, but less stress later
Drop A or B below and tell me why 👇
Let’s settle this once and for all
Tag your solar guy. Let him come and explain 😂
