SO YOU THINK AVOIDING INVERTER IS POOR PEOPLE MENTALITY? 😂

Someone made the attached comment under my last post and I laughed. Because I understand. But my point was never about money.

Yes, DC appliances are expensive too.
DC Fridge can be 2x the price of normal AC fridge. So if we’re talking upfront cost, inverter route might even be cheaper.

My point is about RELIABILITY.

With Inverter + AC devices:
- When inverter spoils, your whole house is dark.
- Battery drains faster because power is being converted.
- After some years, you may be buying new inverter again.

With DC devices and No-Inverter:
- Fewer things to spoil.
- Battery lasts longer on the same charge.
- Less moving parts = Less wahala.

So it’s not "poor people mentality".
It’s "I’m tired of inverter wahala mentality" 😂

Real talk:
If money was not the issue, and you just wanted the setup with least maintenance, which one would you pick?

A: AC devices + Inverter - Cheaper to start, but more to maintain
B: DC devices, No Inverter - Expensive to start, but less stress later

Drop A or B below and tell me why 👇
Let’s settle this once and for all

Tag your solar guy. Let him come and explain 😂

YES, if you use GRID to charge this device, you PAY a token equivalent to approximately 1 unit to your energy provider. You don't charge any battery with grid for free. If you want to be free from any energy payment, add solar panel, though it comes with its own cost too. What do you think?

MOST OF US DON'T KNOW THIS ABOUT SOLAR âš¡

You actually do NOT need an inverter to have light in your house.

Think about it.
Sunking. Delight, Beebeejump. Those small solar kits with their own bulbs, fan, TV.
Did you see inverter inside? Nope. That’s DC solar. Battery straight to device.

And now it’s becoming bigger.
People are running DC TV. DC Fan. DC Fridge. Even DC Freezer. All without inverter.

So why are most people still stuck to inverter?

Simple. We are used to AC devices. TV, Fan, Fridge from the market are all AC. So when we think "solar", the first thing that comes to mind is "buy inverter".

But here are 2 interesting things I noticed about DC:

1. Less wahala - Because inverter is usually the first thing that spoils in solar
2. Battery lasts longer - No energy loss from converting DC to AC

Yes, DC appliances cost a bit more than normal AC ones. But if you are just about to buy new home devices for solar, maybe you should think DC load first.

My question to you:

If you were buying new TV, Fan, Fridge for solar today, would you go for DC to avoid inverter wahala, or stick with AC + inverter because it’s what we know?

I’m genuinely curious. Drop your thoughts below 👇

Tag those planning to buy solar this year 😂

This is a wrong way to advertise a system that is not that popular. First thing is what is the battery size? You mentioned 4 panels, panels of which size? And for 24/7 usage, I will rather avoid that part as it depends on some factors. Thank you

I'm not just comfortable using this kind of panels. Hope I'm not missing. What's your experience with it?

Answer: It may not power such fridge, but definitely won't power the pumping machine. The device is meant to power devices that won't cross 500 W at anytime. Your fridge, though likely lesser than 500 W, may have a starting power higher than 500 W.
