The SCAP train was at RAYMOND COLLEGE INT'l SCHOOL ENUGU on June 27, 2024, on the same mission of raising the Green Vanguards in Enugu State. The project's vision coincides with the school's mission of raising nation-builders in all ramifications.

SCAP will be working with the Environment/Sanitation Club of the school in the coming months to raise climate and sustainability awareness in the school, community and state in general.

We officially flagged off our School Climate Awareness Project (SCAP) in the southeast on June 26, 2024, at National Grammar School Nike-Enugu Nigeria

SCAP is a climate awareness project aimed at raising Green Vanguards that will be stewards of sustainable development and green growth in society. The project's first phase is targeted at 5000 students in Enugu Metropolis. For development to be sustainable, we must consciously internalize the ethics of climate mitigation, sustainability and green development.

Therefore, there is a need to move from passion to skill/expertise, and that is what SCAP will achieve in the coming months.

On June 5, we celebrated the 2024 World Environment Day with the theme: Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience; to mark the day, Green Guru Ng attended a panel discussion at the United States Embassy in Abuja.

We were elated that 98% of attendees to this event were youths, this points out that there is a positive awakening amongst the younger generation to be vanguards of the environment and internalize actions to sustain it and its resources.

As we focused on the land and its sustainability; we arrived at these two vital mantras:

1. The youths have to move from passion to expertise to enable our voices to be heard at the table of nobles.

2. We MAY not be part of the problems, but we can be part of the solution.

We encourage all youths to have skills because activism without professional skills will be like running on a deflated tyre.

WE ARE SOLUTIONS TO THIS GENERATION.
