The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has advised upcoming Christian Ministers to abstain from every appearance of evil.

This comes amidst the backdrop of several allegations emanating against Pastors and religious leaders in the country.

Pastors in Nigeria have been in the news for the wrong reason of late, with Biodun Fatoyinbo of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, the most recent one.

DAILY POST had reported that wife of popular musician, Timi Dakolo, Busola, had also alleged that the COZA founder forcefully r***d her when she was young.

The mother-of-three narrated how Pastor Fatoyinbo allegedly forced his way into her when she was a teenager.

Fatoyinbo, who denied the allegation, however, admitted that Busola once attended the same church with his family.

The clergyman consequently ordered his lawyers to institute both criminal and civil cases against Busola.

But speaking in a sermons titled ‘Born to be great’, Adeboye on Friday warned Pastors against hiding under the guise of grace to sin.

He was quoted as saying, “I feel compelled to say some things to those that are young and up and coming ministers.

“What I want to say is from the Bible:

“1. There is nothing hid that shall not come to the open or made manifest. Mark 4:22

“2. Sooner or later, your sins will find you out if you continue in sin under the guise of grace. Numbers 32:23

“3. Abstain from every appearance of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:22.

“2 Timothy 2:22. When you find yourself facing youthful lust, flee; don’t say you’re highly anointed or something, ask Samson.

“You may say I’m old fashioned, I agree.I’ll never have a private secretary who’s a woman.

“When a woman accuses you of something, nobody will listen to you whether you’re right or wrong; be wise!

“I’m old fashioned, but I’m still surviving since I was ordained; it’s better to be old fashioned & live than modern and die.”

Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has stated his position on the purported threat by the coalition of northern groups to evict all southerners in the north if the federal government doesn’t rescind its decision to suspend the RUGA settlements for Fulani herders within 30 days.

DAILY POST reports that the Federal Government had conceived the Ruga initiative in a bid to curb incessant clashes between Fulani herders and host communities.

But the government was forced to suspend the decision after it was greeted by widespread criticisms.

Angered by the news of its suspension, the northern youths purportedly issued a 30-day ultimatum to every southerner residing in the north to vacate unless RUGA is implemented.

The group had warned that failure of the Federal Government and Southern Governors to reverse the decision, there will be trouble.

Reacting, Atiku discarded the threat stating that, “there is no North or South, there is just Nigeria.”

Atiku on his Twitter page wrote: “My position on Ruga is the same as articulated by the Governors elected under the banner of my party, the PDP. My position has been well iterated by our Governors and the PDP is one.

“I will not dignify that threat with a response. There is no North or South. There is just Nigeria.”

Cyberterrorism is the use of the Internet to conduct violent acts that result in, or threaten, loss of life or significant bodily harm, in order to achieve political gains through intimidation. It is also sometimes considered an act of Internet terrorism where terrorist activities, including acts of deliberate, large-scale disruption of computer networks, especially of personal computers attached to the Internet by means of tools such as computer viruses, computer worms, phishing, and other malicious software and hardware methods and programming scripts.

Cyberterrorism is a controversial term. Some authors opt for a very narrow definition, relating to deployment by known terrorist organizations of disruption attacks against information systems for the primary purpose of creating alarm, panic, or physical disruption. Other authors prefer a broader definition, which includes cybercrime. Participating in a cyberattack affects the terror threat perception, even if it isn't done with a violent approach.[1] By some definitions, it might be difficult to distinguish which instances of online activities are cyberterrorism or cybercrime.[2]

Cyberterrorism can be also defined as the intentional use of computers, networks, and public internet to cause destruction and harm for personal objectives.[3] Experienced cyberterrorists, who are very skilled in terms of hacking can cause massive damage to government systems, hospital records, and national security programs, which might leave a country, community or organization in turmoil and in fear of further attacks.[4] The objectives of such terrorists may be political or ideological since this can be considered a form of terror.[5]
