The Events Management Association of Nigeria was established to:
1. To promote and develop the art and science of the practice of Event Management in Nigeria
2. To establish, prescribe and ensure the observance of high standards of professional and ethical practice.
3. To provide facilities, advice and opportunities for executives to meet and discuss Event Management problems and case studies, an
d thereby improve the standards of Event Management practice in Nigeria.
4. To encourage the acquisition of professional qualifications in Event Management through the provision of examinations and other facilities.
5. To provide such facilities as may be required by those aspiring to or studying for professional examination in Event Management studies.
6. Build a credible and dynamic professional institution that is responsive to Nigeria’s needs.
7. To conduct research, collect and disseminate information on all aspects of Event Management.
8. To publish journals, books, practice papers and guidelines.
9. Promote professional excellence through members upholding the Code of Ethic, Code of Conduct and through the Professional Standards Guide (PSG). The PSG entrenches a system of life-long learning as well as gaining stakeholders’ commitment to high standard of Event Management practice to give more value and strategic to those the professional serves.
