REVIEW OF PROJECT CARRIED OUT IN 2022
FACILITATION/SOURCING OF POS (by USSD POS) for Hon. Igwe Chinyere Emmanuel representing Port Harcourt II consistuency Mobile Money Agents Empowerment Scheme
The 1 day training was flagged off on Wednesday 14th Dec, 2022 by the representative of the Honorable in person of Mr. Chidiebere at the Town Hall, Chief Gilbert Amadi Street, Port Harcourt.
The representative in his keynote address, said that the Honorable has paid adequate attention to promoting and empowering the youth, women and men of the consistuency thus reducing the plight of the poor and vulnerable in the community which he said informed the decision to facilitate the empowerment program as a strategy for enhancing social inclusion and poverty alleviation.
The training was to enable target beneficiaries to meet the minimum technical and business requirements for becoming mobile money agents and enhance their entrepreneurial competences to successfully start and manage mobile money businesses which would allow them reach more people at the grassroots to provide banking services to them.
A total of One hundred and ten (110) beneficiaries were empowered with the POS terminal.
