Aṣọ ń sọ̀rọ̀: A Call to Ibadan’s Fashion Community
The London College of Fashion (UAL), in collaboration with Zucchini Fashion Center and the University of Ibadan, is inviting stakeholders across Ibadan’s vibrant fashion ecosystem to join an exciting exploratory project: “Reimagining Aso‑Ebi: Advancing Cultural Sustainability, Reducing Fashion Waste.”
This groundbreaking initiative will feature workshops, a documentary film, exhibitions, and contributions to global knowledge about Nigerian fashion practices. It is a unique opportunity to showcase creativity, preserve cultural heritage, and engage with international debates on sustainability.
Who Can Participate?
Open to all fashion practitioners aged 18 and above, including tailors, dyers, weavers, embroiderers, pattern cutters, designers, and stylists.
Why Participate?
* Free and voluntary participation.
* Connection with practitioners, educators, and cultural workers in Ibadan and London.
* Your craft will be given visibility through documentary films, exhibitions, and academic publications.
