1. Generate leads to watch a webinar for a super high ticket product ( by Nigerian standards). Product is โฆ550k .
2. Sell a low ticket ebook to cover for front end of the funnel and generate some immediate ROI. This product was โฆ5k but we dropped the price to โฆ1k to test the funnel and the Ads
3. Create automations for the leads, testing various softwares to find out which one gives the cheapest means of sending FB leads directly to email tags, segments and audiences to enable them build their email list.
Here is a couple of things I've learnt on this journey.
1. When you have a super high ticket product, you cannot rely on just one touch point (in the case of this company, they were relying on only email marketing).
I immediately told them to integrate other touch points such as WhatsApp marketing and getting on a consultation call as well as a monthly live webinar.
That's not all, I also told them to create low end products (the ebook in point 2 above) so that people who are sceptical about their services will buy that (since it's super low ticket and not a big risk) and get to know the company's value and associate with the brand better.
The more higher your products, the more touch points you have to create, this is especially true for digital products.
2. When selling ebooks, video Ads describing the problem and why they need the ebook works best. Also (something I learnt from Prince Duja ) never sell ebooks, sell solutions, guides, checklists, planners etc.
People don't want to buy another ebook and read, they want a solution to their problems. Yes it's generally called an ebook but don't call it that on your ads. It rubbishes the value.
I created over 20 creatives to sell the ebook but none of them worked. I kept getting very high CPM (โฆ1500+, probably cos I'm terrible at creating graphics) and very poor CTR (below 0.7%).
It wasn't until I decided to use video that everything changed. In the video we described all the problems people faced and told them how the guide we were selling helped them solved it.
Boom!
CRT of 3% & CPM of โฆ358 were the result and as I'm typing this we have made 5 sales. And we just started yesterday.
3. Leads ads is one of the best and cheapest ads to use if you are good with follow up or sell multiple products or services.
There are simple softwares you can use to capture leads directly from Facebook and send them to your email list without building a landing page. Example are Make and zapier.
However using a simple landing page (such as a Cognito forms) might be cheaper as you can simply download and upload the CSV to your email software later.
Usually with leads ads, you can get leads for around โฆ30 per lead when done well ( โฆ500 gets you 166 leads and even if you close 1% that's about 1.6 or 2 customers).
However to use lead ads, ensure you have multiple touchpoints and your email marketing game is good. In my own agency, SellBeta Marketing Solutions, we are going to be employing the use of a free consultation call when using leads. This should usually lead to higher closing rates ( closing will be done on the call).
Anyways for this travel agency, in the space of 3 weeks, we have generated over 1700+ new email subscribers, getting each for an average of โฆ35.
