Job Summary
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment used in plastic production processes. This includes ensuring machines operate efficiently, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous production.

Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance on plastic production machines such as injection molding, blow molding, and extrusion equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in machines and equipment
Monitor machine performance and identify potential issues before breakdowns occur
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities
Install, align, and test new machinery and equipment
Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
Ensure proper lubrication and servicing of moving parts
Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
Work closely with production and electrical teams to resolve equipment issues
Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

Requirements / Qualifications
HND/OND or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering or related field
2–5 years experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably plastic industry)
Strong knowledge of injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding machines
Good understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical problems efficiently
Good communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions
Factory/production environment
Shift work may be required
Exposure to noise, heat, and moving machinery
Use of protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory

Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain utility equipment such as generators, air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and water treatment systems
Monitor utility parameters (temperature, pressure, flow rates) to ensure optimal performance
Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of utility systems
Troubleshoot and repair faults in utility equipment to minimize downtime
Ensure continuous supply of utilities to production lines
Maintain logs and records of utility operations and maintenance activities
Monitor fuel, water, and energy consumption and report variances
Support installation and commissioning of new utility equipment
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards
Work closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure smooth operations

Requirements / Qualifications
