HOW TO REJECT THE CALL OF POVERTY

I was asked, "Why is your consulting firm successful". My first response was - AN INSANE WORK ETHIC!

A few months back, I called a fellow entrepreneur by 1pm to ask what he was up to & he said he was watching a series. I was "flabberwhelmed". Series? 1pm? On a weekday? Abi poverty is dialling your number ni? Another time I called he said, "I am at home chilling". This was definitely a PATTERN.

I am sorry...I will never get it. At home? Chilling? On a weekday? Nah bruv...nah!

It is better you are in a client/prospect's office working for free than at home chilling! Opportunity comes by value creation. What value are you creating on your bed by 1pm?

The greatest employer of labour was once recruiting. Guess his prerequisite for selection? Each disciple he picked was AT WORK (not at home...chilling). Simon & his crew had toiled ALL NIGHT (not just day). To affirm that they had a knack for hard work, when Jesus asked them to go fish again, Peter's guys did not whine over 'unpaid overtime'. They obeyed.

Enough with this, "I cannot work for anybody, I am a natural entrepreneur!" I hope your bank account is naturally fat too?

Your own dreams are interpreted when you first interprete the dreams of others. Today, I consult for banks because I first served in a bank.

As an employee (aspiring to be an entrepreneur), do not just be caught in the WORK of the business at the expense of the BUSINESS of the work.

Deliberately learn how your company develops structure, systems, accounting, records etc.

And for those who say there are no jobs.
There may be no jobs but there is work. Get busy. Volunteer. Work...& then a job will find you.

Finally, if you work from home, make sure you have 'office hours' away from your TV, your friends & your phone! Poverty is dialling...reject that call!

Teach us self care, teach us humanity, teach us integrity. Life's more than marriage and cooking. Teach ue to own our own dream, teach us that failure is a process to failure, teach us that life's not fair, teach us that faithfulness is important. Teach us how to walk, show us, plants. There's a lot of things to being feminine than b***s, kitchen expertise, pretty looks or curvy shaped. Teach us to be we-men, a conclumeration of , , and a whole lot more.
