Vocational training started at the time of early men. During this period, they were engaged in different kinds of occupation such as farming, fishing, hunting, weaving, carving,etc . However, they were not trained.they tried their hands on anything that could keep them busy and give them food.in the modern period, people spend time for training in different locations e.g.in the areas of medicine, pharmacy, carpentry, agriculture, teaching,law, journalism,
Plumbing, welding, painting, photography, lumbering,etc vocation as occupation,career,profession, work,trade ,etc. Before someone should choose a vocation, he must ask and answer the following question. Do l have interest in the vocation? What is the period of training? Will the vocation benefits members of the society? can l make a living from the vocation? are the tools for the vocation easily available and cheap? what is the subjects do l need to study? have l got areasonable level of education to enable me take up a vocation?etc.people sometimes face some problem in the course of their choosing their vocation for example, some may not have the money, materials, equipment, workshop,etc to take off.these problems not withstanding, everyone .must try to be engaged in one vocational or the other. The aim of vocational aptitude is to make someone seif reliant.you can use your hands and your brain to create job for your seif instead of waiting for the government job when you leave school
