2022 CHARITY WEEK OPENING SPEECH.

It's a new day...our second Charity Week in the month of August. The year is 2022 and the tradition has come to stay. Merygold Foundation has arrived for the annual charity week again... Reachouts, projects, seminars, workshops, community development, youth and sports development, nation building programmes and other charity activities in the month of August... leading to December, year 2023 and another August. Our traditional month, getting bigger and better.

We remember COVID in 2020, the slow nature through 2021...we got so much done.
2022 is here...with the threats of insecurity. But as an organisation growing and keeping that focus, we are getting stronger and keeping our stability through meaningful memberships.

Our Award recipients (from outside the organisation) will be announced on Friday of the charity week, they will receive their certificates and prepare for their ceremony in November.

Our Directors Swearing-in Ceremony comes up on Saturday August 20. Members' Awards and other recognition comes up on the same day.

Chapters will also present their programmes according to the reasoning of the state of their security while other information follows.

THE CHRISTMAS GIFT FROM POLAND

We announced that the local civil servants (from the labour office) in my town made a brief donation to make the Christmas of some kids in need.

We shall make the money a round from our Welfare purse in order to give out each to 30 children or each to 20 children.
All you have to do is post the photo of ONE CHILD BELOW THE AGE OF 14.

We shall select those to receive the Christmas gifts.

This ends at 1pm Nigerian time.
