RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

BE VIGILANT

THURSDAY, JANUARY 19TH 2023

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition
(2 Thessalonians 2:3).

In John 5:43, Jesus said, “I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.” Our underlined portion sounds like a supposition but it’s not. It’s actually in the affirmative when you study the Greek rendering.

The word “another” in that verse doesn’t come from “heteros” (Greek), but from “allos” (Greek). This clearly means that Jesus was prophesying about the “pseudochristos”—a false Christ; one who falsely lays claim to the name and office of the Messiah. Jesus did teach that there’d be false Christs and false prophets.

When you read in the epistles (such as 1 John 2:18), the term used is “antichrist” which is “antichristos” in Greek, meaning instead of Christ, against Christ, one who puts himself in the place of Christ or opposes Christ. This lines up with the “pseudochristos.” So, when Jesus said, “…if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive,” He knew what He was talking about. Sadly, some today are willing to demonstrate magnanimity and incredulity towards fake news and wrong doctrines, while unwilling to accept real truth.

The Bible tells us the antichrist will be a deceiver and a liar, and that major religious leaders will endorse him. But that's no surprise. There were people like that in Bible days who endorsed the false prophets and killed God's prophets (Matthew 23:31). It's the same in the world today; many have chosen to be deceived.

Satan’s modus operandi is based on deception with misrepresentations. Therefore, remain vigilant. The Bible says, “Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience” (Ephesians 5:6). We’re in the closing period of this present age; the Lord is coming soon. Be alert and ready.

PRAYER
Gracious Lord, thank you for the illumination that I’ve received from your Word, exposing the cunning devices of Satan and his cohorts in these last days. The eyes of my understanding are flooded with light; I’m alert and sensitive, ready for the coming of the Lord. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:
1 John 4:1-3; Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.(2) Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:(3) And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

1 John 2:18; Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

2 John 1:7; For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

3 John 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES TUESDAY 17TH JANUARY 2023.

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

TOPIC: FAITH: THE EFFECT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever (Isaiah 32:17).

Our opening verse lists quietness and assurance as the effect of righteousness; that’s faith! Faith is the quiet or confident assurance that things favourably expected shall come to pass: “Faith is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen…” (Hebrews 11:1 TLB). This perfectly describes the effect of righteousness we read about in our opening verse. It could have simply read, “And the effect of righteousness shall be faith.”

In all of the Old Testament, the word “faith” appears only twice and it wasn’t in connection with people demonstrating faith toward God. The first time it was used in the Old Testament was in Deuteronomy 32:20. The next time was Habakkuk 2:4: “…but the just shall live by his faith”; a prophetic reference to the new creation. But now, faith has come! It’s our lifestyle. Being born again, we were born righteous and the effect of righteousness is mountain-moving faith. Hallelujah!

Because of righteousness, you have power over every crisis; you rule over the elements and corrupting influences of this world. You can live without fear, worries, conflicts and agitations. Isaiah 54:14 says, “In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.” Hallelujah!

No more fear or oppression in your life because you’re established in Christ’s righteousness. You’re no longer in the jurisdiction of darkness; of those who are oppressed by circumstances, situations, demon spirits, etc. You’ve been translated into the Kingdom of God’s Love-Son; the realm of blessings, dominion and glory. Praise God!

CONFESSION
I walk in the consciousness of God’s righteousness, securely established in Christ! I live above the elements and corrupting influences of this world. I live without worries, conflicts and agitations. I walk in glory, dominion and the strength of God. Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: Hebrews 11:1 TLB What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.

Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES SATURDAY 14TH JANUARY 2023.

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

TOPIC: PRAYING FOR LEADERS

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority... (1 Timothy 2:1-2).

In Acts 13:6-12, we find a very interesting story about the missionary work of Barnabas and Paul in Paphos—a city known for a combination of immorality and darkness. In the course of their evangelical work in the city, the deputy, Sergius Paulus, wanted to hear God’s Word and sent for Barnabas and Paul.

But one of his very influential officials—a noted false prophet and sorcerer—attempted to frustrate their missionary efforts. He didn’t want his boss to hear the Gospel. But Paul, having observed Elymas’ deceptive and malicious tendencies, firmly expostulated with him and said, “And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season...” (Acts 13:11). Suddenly, the man went blind and got out of their way. Hallelujah!

Sergius Paulus was a prudent man; he wasn’t a corrupt official, but he was unaware of the kind of influence that Elymas would have on him, having been planted by Satan. These are often part of Satan’s ways of getting across to government and political leaders, to influence them and get them to do the wrong things.

Therefore, in praying for the leaders of your city, state or country, remember that there’re times Satan plants his own people among them, to distract them from hearing the Word and from getting to know God. Therefore, using the Name of Jesus, break the power of Satan over those who work with leaders and seek to influence or counsel them to go against the will and purposes of God.

Furthermore, command the devil to loose his grip over their minds so the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ would shine unto them. Affirm that their hearts are open to receive the Gospel willingly and as a result, righteousness springs up in their hearts and the wisdom of God guides their thoughts. Pray for leaders and all men this way as admonished in 1 Timothy 2:1-2.

PRAYER
Lord, your desire is for the leaders and peoples of the nations to be saved and for your righteousness to rule their hearts and guide their thinking. Therefore, I pray for leaders of nations, that their hearts be opened and receptive to the Gospel. I pray that your Word will have free course and be glorified and have prevailing power in their lives, effectively cutting off every negative influence from among them, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:
1 Timothy 2:1-4; I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Jeremiah 29:7; And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the Lord for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.

Proverbs 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

*Rhapsody Of Realities*
_WATER-CARRYING CLOUD_

Monday, April 11th.
Pastor Chris

```Drip down, heavens, from above, And let the clouds pour down righteousness; Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, And righteousness sprout with it. I, the Lord, have created it (Isaiah 45:8 NASB).```
Jude, in his epistle, appealed to God’s people to earnestly contend for the faith against the attack of false teachers. In the 4th verse of his inspiring epistle, he explained why we should aggressively defend the truth because some godless people had crept in stealthily. These are people who distorted the message about the grace of God in order to excuse their immoral ways, and those who disowned and denied Jesus Christ as the supreme authority and Lord.
Now, notice what he says about these same people in verses 11-12: “Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots” (Jude 1:1112). He calls them “clouds without water, carried about by the winds; trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots!”
But what does the Lord call us? First, look at Isaiah 61:3; it says, “To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.” We’re trees of righteousness, producing fruits of righteousness.
Also, each one of us, according to Bible, is a cloud; we’re clouds of glory and clouds with water. That’s very significant because John 7:38 says, “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” We’re fountains of living water. From your cloud, righteousness and salvation rain upon the earth. As a water-carrying cloud, you pour forth righteousness and salvation in the earth, just as our theme verse says.
*PRAYER*
_Dear Father, I’m a water-carrying cloud, and I stay perpetually filled with the Holy Ghost, ministering inhttps://bit.ly/2HKQjT1 the spirit, singing and making melody in my heart to the Lord. From my innermost being flows gushers of living water; I rain down righteousness, salvation, healings, prosperity and victories, in Jesus’ Name. Amen._
