WHAT DO YOU USE YOUR DATA FOR?

The internet has offered the world different opportunities and uses, good or bad.

It is what you make of it and how, that defines what outcome you achieve in the short and even long term.

I was impressed with a young girl who reached out to me on LinkedIn earlier today. A fresh graduate only about to start the NYSC.

She was posted to a place for her primary assignment and couldn't make it to the office on time on the day they were all to submit their letters, due to the traffic situation.

Though she missed the chance, she went back and submitted her letter to the security men at the gate.

She didnt stop at just submitting; she went on to LinkedIn to look for those who work in the said company and those who could possibly guide her on how to make things work for her as she believes a year of national service at this establishment wil be valuable to her future and career goals.

This is a young girl, fresh out of school with probably no work experience, but she applied her brain to THINK! Found out that LinkedIn was a good platform to reach out for helpers in her current challenge. I had to commend her and gave her the guidance and support I could, while also reaching out to those i know in the said company to help.

If we could apply ourselves and use the resources we have within our means to seek how to solve our issues, most of our challenges would be almost solved if not fully solved.

Oh Nigerian YOUTH! Learn to see beyond the pedestrian sensations on social media and apply yourself to start learning and solving issues. Let us evolve a more productive society.

THE OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND, BUT ONLY THOSE WITH THE 3RD EYE WILL SEE AND RECOGNIZE THEM.

"There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all."
For many they go to university looking to find themselves and what they are good at rather than going to university already knowing their Strengths, innate talents and passions in life.

The figure, I strongly believe is higher in Nigeria and Africa at large with the number of under engaged and unemployed youths we have roaming our streets.

The NYSC in Nigeria has over 1m youths passing through it every year with less than 10% of those finding anything meaningful and productive to do after the program.

There has to be a deliberate effort to unlock and unleash the potentials of our young ones, by preparing them early with the knowledge of their innate talents and strengths.

The challenge we have is more of under-employment, wrong fit for jobs, than unemployment.

Productivity can be enhanced for greater value creation by being deliberate in how we prepare our youths for the future.

Security will be reduced and youth restiveness will abate by simply having our young ones productively engaged.

The future only works for those who plan for it. We can't continue like this.

Let us evolve a more productive society.

The world has evolved so much through advancements in technology.
Those in my generation will remember the cassette tape very well. But our children now dont even know there was such a lovely thing, just like the kids in this video.

There is a need to continually renew our minds, reconditioning them to fit the new world order.

There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all.

Productivity and value creation remains the only way to remain relevant as individuals and as a nation.

Technology and innovation from seeking new and improved ways to solve issues is the sure way to greater value. This can only be possible through a new thinking and focusing on the positives for greater leverage.

We are all imbued with innate talents and strengths for exploits. All we need is to be deliberate and scientific in unlocking them for greater potential.

Eliud Kipchoge..Indeed "No Human Is Limited".

The Sub 2hr marathon barrier has just been broken in Ineos 1:59min 40 secs by no other than the Kenyan sprinter.

He said "After 65 years, I am the first man! I want to inspire many people, that no human is limited."

This is after his first attempt in 2017. 2hr:25min.

What are you building or what difference are you aiming to make?

Though toungs and tribe may differ, the strength of our country is in the beauty of our diversity.

Like the meals we eat have numerous spices to make them beautiful and tasteful, so did God make our nation divers in tribe, culture and nuances.

As we celebrate our 59th independence anniversary, it is a time to reflect on this beauty of our diversity, start reframing our lenses to focus on what is strong in us rather than what is wrong.

What will happen if we focus on what is strong rather than what is wrong in people? I believe greatness abounds in all of us.

We need to start playing to our individual strengths for a collective growth and progress.
