BASIC FACTS ABOUT HEMORRHOID POPULARLY KNOWN AS PILE.
Hi everyone, I'm Rasaq Alopo, a traditional pile doctor, with over 25years treatment experience. I basically specialises in the treatment of hemorrhoids popularly known as piles owing to my background and passion being my father's profession. WHAT ARE HEMORRHOIDS?
Hemorrhoids popularly known as piles, are swollen veins in your a**s and lower re**um, similar to varicose veins. Hemorrhoids can develop inside the re**um (internal hemorrhoids) or under the skin around the a**s (external hemorrhoids).
Nearly three out of four adults will have hemorrhoids from time to time.
TYPES OF HEMORRHOID.
- Internal hemorrhoid
- External hemorrhoid.
Internal hemorrhoid : This is simply the swollen vein that occurs in the re**um and it has four different degrees namely :
(a) First degree internal hemorrhoid : at this stage, the swollen vein would develop in the re**um without protruding out during bowel movement. Blood stooling, itching and painful sensation during bowel movement are the major symptoms of first degree internal hemorrhoid and these symptoms are also common to all degrees of internal hemorrhoids.
(b) 2nd degree internal hemorrhoid : at this stage, the reddish swollen vein in the re**um would be protruding externally only during bowel movement and subsequently go back to the a**s automatically without pushing it.
(c) 3rd degree internal hemorrhoid : unlike 2nd degree, the protrusion here would not go back automatically but requires the sufferer to push it back with his finger.
Kindly note that when it is getting to the 4th degree, the protrusion will be taking time to go back because the swollen vein is becoming more thicker and weaker, thereby making contraction difficult.
(d) 4th degree internal hemorrhoid : This is the last phase of internal hemorrhoids. Also, the weakest level of contraction for the swollen vein. At this stage, the usual reddish protrusion coming out during bowel movement would cease to move back to the re**um even when push with force, it would remain outside. Some patients suffering from this degree of hemorrhoids do say they have "external hemorrhoid" but not.
EXTERNAL HEMORRHOIDS : These are swollen veins that occur aroun7rlg egemd the external part of the a**s. Ext know 2ernal swollen around the mouth of a**s can developed in various regions, the number of this swollen vein differs with individual and can easily be touched when squart down.
This can be painful by making bowel movement and sitting difficult.
External hemorrhoid also share the same symptoms like; itching, blood stooling, painful bowel movement etc with internal hemorrhoids aside their specific differences.
However, the good news is that all these cases are treatable without reccurence. You might have tried many ways particularly - medical treatment. The fact is that there is currently no orthodox medication that can treat cases of hemorrhoids permanently. Even hemorrhoidectomy ( Hemorrhoid surgery) is not a permanent solution as there are many cases we've treated after 2-3 times surgery. The fact about whether hemorrhoid re occur after surgery is not far fetched.
Many notable cases has been reported from US. The 39th US former president JIMMY CARTER was reported to had hemorrhoidectomy in 1984 after which he described as being painful. US political
commentator GLENN BECK revealed his ordeal on YouTube in 2008 titled "Beck from dead", he narrated his unpleasant experience after hemorrhoidal surgery. Also, Hall of fame baseball player GEORGE BRETT was removed from game in 1980's due to his intense pain and discomfort after he performed the 2nd surgery after the case reoccur.
