One of the major differences between the rich and the poor is INFORMATION.
When you're armed with the right information, you become a person of value. Even if you live in the deep bushes, people would beat a path to come seek you.
It is true that the search for knowledge is an endless journey. The more we acquire knowledge, the more we desire to acquire greater amount of it.
If you're armed with relevant information, whenever you speak, people pause and listen, people become attracted to you. People would want to associate with you, because they perceive you to be a person of value.
Some years back, a friend of mine after his NYSC, applied for a job with a company in Lagos. The interview was kind of funny to him.
They were over 20 of them that applied for the same position. The head of operations sent a mail to all applicants, demanding that they write on how the company via it's products and services could achieve organic growth.
He researched about the company, their products, services and competitors. He wrote what was demanded and sent to the head of operations.
In less than an hour, he got a call from the CEO. He requested that both of them meet for an interview. They hooked up at a nice spot in Lekki and the interview turned out to be a discussion and negotiation of terms. Yes he got the job there and then.
It wasn't by luck that he was selected for the position, neither was it by miracle. It was a manifestation of the information he wielded at that time.
The right information will always empower you. The right information would always propel you forward.
Continue to build on your knowledge. Continue to expand. Continue to grow in wisdom. It would pay off eventually.
If you cannot offer money at the moment, offer ideas.
One of greatest deformation is not a man without legs or hands, but a man who has nothing to offer. Do not be that man.
