EXCEPTS OF LECTURE AT KBC 74 BY SHEIKH SULAIMAN SHEHU.

"(Even) if you give someone a slap (unjustly), it will be returned on that day not with slap but with your good deeds. Even with animals there will be Qisas (retaliation, vengeance) before they will be turned to dust, how about we humans.
Don't do things (oppress people) and think you will go scot free..."

When the horn is blown- that sound is a destructive sound. Allāh called it a blast, it will destroy everything. It will cease everybody in his position. Every creature will die...
Between the 1st and 2nd blow there is a period of 40years, there won't be any creature in existence except what Allah wishes.
Within the 40yrs, every part of a human will get decomposed except one single bone and it is from it we will be formed again.

The second blow will make soul come back to the body - for a permanent journey. People would start standing out of their graves....
Then the Qiyaama will be established, people would stand and come with no clothing, no shoes and uncircumcised. People would come out the way it was created at first - with nothing. Our mother Aisha' asked the Prophet ﷺ, won't people be seeing their nakedness.. He replied: The affairs is severe O 'Aisha, people at time with be so occupied that they won't see other people's nakedness.

The sun will be made to come close to our head. How are we going to be on that day? Some, their sweat will get to their knees, some waist and some up to their earlobes (according to their deeds). *WalLahi it will happen.*
There are 7 people Allāh will put to shade on that Day.
1. Those who love themselves for the Allah sake
2. A person approached by a woman for indecency but said he fears Allah
3. A child that grow up worshipping Allāh - That is why we do encourage the young ones. You have this opportunity. Don't be wayward before you repent.

*4* The one who give Sodaqoh lilLah, you hide it so much that people close to you do not know.*Have a secret good with Allāh* that even your wife doesn't know of. *A man is supposed to have something (good deed) he hides with Allāh* that no one knows except Allah. Today we lack sincerity because of social media. Don't be making your ibaadah (known) on social media. You want to break your fast, you are posting the adhkar for breaking fast on your status so that people can know you had fast...

*5.* The one who thinks of Allah and shed tears
*6.* A just leader - perhaps as a Husband if you also rule with justice you will be there.... You are a Muslim with La ilaha illalLAh, protect it, guide it. Do not trade it for anything no matter the situation. No matter what we lose in this world, don't let us lose laa ilaha illalLAh......If you don't have imān, you won't have a record of good deed. A kafir can only have a reduction in punishment but not Jannah.

*WHEN LAST HAVE YOU SOUGHT ALLAH'S FORGIVENESS FOR YOUR BRETHREN!*

By: Ustādh Rasheed Haashim, Ibadan

✍️ One of the good habits of the past Muslims have abandoned nowadays is seeking Allah's forgiveness for our brethren over sins they might have committed. It shows true Islamic brotherhood. It makes one's heart to be free to Muslims. Likewise, it makes one to earn Allah's forgiveness.

✍️ This seeking Allah's forgiveness for Muslims extends to seeking Allah's forgiveness for dead ones among them.

Thanks to an interesting discussion between Dr. Akintayo of Unilag and Prof. Udombana on the scope of application of the Child Rights Act. Is it applicable across Nigeria or is it true that each state must pass her own law?

It has given fresh perspective on the application of CRA in Nigeria. And my revisit to the Act just showed me that some disservice was being done to the analysis of that law.
From my hurried fresh appreciation of the law, it is found that Prof. Ndombana's stance is stronger here. The CRA doesn't describe itself as a step down law from any treaty. The Long Title didn't say so.
Also, the law from the gamut of its provisions seem to be applicable across the nation. Some of the bases for my position are:
1. *Section 264* and *Section 268* specifically provide for STATE & LOCAL GOVTS COMMITTEES to implement the provisions of the Act.

2. There is no provision that limits the scope of application of CRA to the FCT.

3. On the contrary, there are copious provision expressly referencing the clear role of State authorities in actualising the objectives of the CRA.

4. Furthermore, *Section 265* et al., specifically empanel an implementation committee to "ensure the observance" of the CRA specifically alongside the relevant treaties (including ones other than CRC). This suggests that the CRA doesn't see itself as a domesticated version of the CRA or other treaties.

5. By *Section 267*, the implementation committee should operate from the State Commissioner's office. So, implementation of the CRA doesn't require any further state enactment.

6. Again, by *Section 275*, the Act empowers the Minister to delegate power to make regulations under the CRA to State Commissioners. This means the Act has factored the state officials into the operation of CRA from the beginning.

7. Likewise, under the INTERPRETATION section, there are copious mention and direct references to Ministry of Education of the State and Ministry of Health of the State.

So, in my opinion, the CRA has already covered the field.

If wealth is the secret to happiness, then the rich should be dancing on the streets. But only poor kids do that.
If power ensures security, then officials should walk unguarded. But those who live simply, sleep soundly. If beauty and fame bring ideal relationships, then celebrities should have the best marriages. But those who live simply, walk humbly and love ❤️ genuinely!

Sometimes you are unsatisfied with your life, while many people in this world are dreaming of living your life.

A child on a farm sees a plane fly overhead and dreams of flying. But, a pilot on the plane sees the farmhouse and dreams of returning home. That's life!!! Enjoy yours.

Things to do before Ramadhan.

* Catch up on missed fasts.
* Leave off bad habits.
* Review the rulings of Ramadhan.
* Increase in reading the Quran.
* Clean and organise home.
* Find local charities to donate to.

" Allahumma baarik lana fi Rajaba wa Sha'bana wa balligh-na Ramadan.
" Oh Allah! Grant us blessing during Rajab and Sha'ban, and allow us to reach Ramadan.

May Allah SWT make it easy for us & allow us to reach Ramadhan.

Imām Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) said:

“The sign of happiness is that the good deeds of the servant are behind his back (not focusing on it much), and his bad deeds are between his eyes (focusing on one’s sins so as to repent from it) and the sign of misery is that he places his good deeds in front of his eyes (caring too much about one’s good deeds might cause showing off), and his bad deeds behind his back.”
