23 And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,

24 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.

25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.

26 And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.

27And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

28 And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee.

MESSAGE

In Exodus 14:13-30, Pharaoh's army pursued the Israelites as they camped before the Red Sea. The Israelites knew that unless something happened, they would either all be dead or be driven back into bo***ge. Moses, their leader, cried to God, and He delivered them with His mighty hand. In Mark 5:1-15, the man who was possessed by a legion of demons was set free with just one word from the Great Deliverer.

A woman once had a strange problem; anytime an electric appliance was switched on around her, instead of the appliance working, the electric current would flow through her. For example, if a fan was turned on, instead of the fan rotating, the woman would start rotating. If a fridge was switched on, instead of the things in it to get cold, the woman would start getting cold, and if an electric iron was switched on, she would start getting hot. Consequently, they dared not use any electrical appliance in her house and as such, the house was in darkness. When I sent for her, I was told that she couldn't travel in a vehicle because one day, people tried to take her to the hospital in a pick-up van, and as the driver switched on the engine, the current flowed from the engine to the woman, picked her up, and threw her out of the vehicle. Since she couldn't travel in a vehicle, I had to go to her house, and I told her that all she needed was to give her life to Jesus because He would deliver her from the power of darkness. She gave her life to Jesus, we prayed a simple prayer, and she was delivered immediately.

Jesus died and rose again to save man from satan's grip (1 John 3:8). It doesn't matter if many forces of darkness are troubling you; if you call on Him, He will set you free. The man with the unclean spirit in the synagogue had one demon (Mark 1:23-26), Mary Magdalene had seven (Mark 16:9), and the madman of Gadara had a legion (Mark 5:1-15), and Jesus delivered all of them.

I declare your deliverance from the forces of darkness that might be tormenting you or anything that concerns you, in Jesus' name. Jesus has paid the price for your deliverance; begin to walk in it.

PRAYER POINT
I walk in total deliverance in every area of my life, in Jesus’ name.

How to make ofada sauce

Ofada Stew/ palm oil stew

Ingredients:
(1-10servings)

3 _4 Semi ripe tomatoes
1 small bunch of red chilli peppers
1 small basket of Peppers
1 small basket of Red bell peppers
1 big onions
I wrap of locusts beans/ iru
Assorted meats
Brown cow skin wash and cut
6 hard boiled eggs
3 cooking spoonful of palm oil slightly bleached
Salt
2 stock cubes

Cooking directions:
-Wash the meats and pomo (cow skin) thoroughly and season according with Salt, stock cube, onions, garlic and pepper and boil till almost tender.
-Wash the tomatoes, different peppers and opinions.. blend but dont nment it smoothly.
-Place a lot on fire, Add the palm oil and allow it to heat up till it becomes almost bleached, Add in some chopped onions. (I like onions so I add some despite the fact that onion is already in the blended tomatoes.)
-Pour in the semi smooth but blended tomatoes a d peppers into the pot and stir. Allow it to fry for a say 5_10 mins depending on how much stew you are making.
-Once it the oil start a to show on the surface, pour in the almost tender boiled meats with the cow skin, add salt and iru and if it needs water. You can add plain water if the meat stock wasn't enough. The aroma of the iru at this point is simply divine.
-Stir it and allow to cool till the water content is almost dried. This is the perfect time to add in the already peeled hard boil eggs and allow to simmer on low heat.
-Stir gently and taste for salt and your delicious Ofada Stew is ready.
Serve with its usual companion stoneless Ofada Rice with some fried plantain...😊

MESSAGE:
Some people think that God is doing great things for them because they deserve it. They think because of all that they do for God, then it is only expected that He would bless them as He does. Believe me honestly, everything that God does, He does for His name’s sake - not for you, but that His name will be glorified (Psalm 106:7-8).

Don’t become arrogant, God could use anyone else. There are people who pray, study the Bible and are even more talented than you, but God chose you; you should be grateful for that.

In any case, if we were to count iniquity, who will stand? (Psalm 130:3). When people see the things God is doing in The Redeemed Christian Church of God, they think I must be special.

The only thing special about me is that God chose me, because even from as far back as when I was a little child, God had promised my Father-in-the Lord that The Redeemed Christian Church of God would go round the world. It had nothing to do with me at all; God just decided to glorify Himself through this Church and it is only by grace that He chose me to be the General Overseer. He could have chosen anyone else. There are people far more qualified than I, but it is by grace that I was chosen.

When you see people still drowning in sin, don’t judge them because you are on your way to heaven; rather, pray that God will save them by His grace. It is by His grace that you are not the one on the way to hell.

Never forget that it is He who is working something out for His name’s sake. You are only graced to be a recipient of God’s blessings.

The people of Israel may have thought that God parted the Red Sea and drowned Pharaoh and his army because they were so special. He did it for His name’s sake. They were only graced to be the ones He did it for.

Romans 9:17 testifies to this:

For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, thank You for Your grace over my life. Please don't let me ever stop enjoying help from Your throne of grace.

28. So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramothgilead.

29. And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and will go to the battle; but put thou on thy robes. So the king of Israel disguised himself; and they went to the battle.

30. Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of the chariots that were with him, saying, Fight ye not with small or great, save only with the king of Israel.

31. And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they compassed about him to fight; but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him; and God moved them to depart from him.

32. For it came to pass, that, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back again from pursuing him.

*MESSAGE:*
Many Christians today are partaking in other people’s sins knowingly or unknowingly. It is unfortunate that those who indulge themselves in aiding and abetting sinful lifestyles fail to realise that, not only are they partaking in such sins along with the sinners, they would also be partakers of the punishment. When you serve alcohol to your guests, you are not only encouraging the sinful act, you are also as guilty as the drinkers! Trading in, alcohol as a child of God is even worse. Habakkuk 2:15 says:
Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!

In our Bible text today, we read about how Jehoshaphat - the King of Judah, partook in the sin of his friend - the King of Israel and was almost killed. But for divine intervention, Jehoshaphat would have died in the battle that was not his. The Bible says:
As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever. For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity. - (Psalm 125:2-3)

We as children of God must cease being partakers of the sins of unbelievers, so that we will not suffer their punishment with them. Do not enter into a business partnership with people who do not share the same values with you. Partnering with someone who does not believe in tithing or someone who does not have a problem with cutting corners will only get you into trouble down the road.

Are you aiding and abetting sin in anyway? Repent today and prayerfully share what the word of God says about such sins with the concerned persons. I join my faith with yours and declare that as you obey, God will save such persons and hold you blameless, in Jesus’ name.

ACTION POINT:
Examine your life carefully and repent from all actions and inactions that encourage other people to commit sin.

*THEME: RUN WITH PATIENCE.*

*MEMORISE:*
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,”
(Hebrews 12:1)

*READ: Matthew 4:1-4 (KJV)*

1. Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

2. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

3. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

4. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

*MESSAGE:*
A common weak point in the lives of many believers is impatience.

Unfortunately, the devil exploits this. This is why the devil tempts believers to turn ‘stone to bread’ meaning that he tries to get them to rush ahead in life without waiting for God’s time and provision.

When this happens, the believer must react like Jesus in Matthew 4:4 by saying “…Man shall not live by bread alone…”

Sadly, not many believers are able to do this. We have seen married people go out of their way in search of the fruit of the womb, despite the numerous Bible passages that enjoin us to patiently run the race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1).

Joseph waited patiently for the fulfilment of his dream and was rewarded. Two years after he interpreted the butler’s dream, he was still waiting.

At the fullness of time, Genesis 41:1 says:

And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed…

The Scripture above speaks volumes and our understanding of its depth will go a long way to cure us of the spiritual disease of impatience.

“And it came pass…” It does not matter how terrible the situation a child of God is passing through is, the promise of God is that it shall not last forever; rather the breakthrough shall come to pass!
Psalm 30:5 confirms this.

On this subject of patience, Jesus said in John 16:20,22:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy…ye now …have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

Jesus knows what we would encounter in our walk with God, that was why He already prayed for us in John 17:15-16:

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Beloved, you must keep on looking unto Jesus, who though tempted, endured everything for our sake.

As He was victorious, so shall you also be in the mighty name of Jesus. We are more than conquerors! (Romans 8:37).

PRAYER POINT:
Lord, please see me through the challenges of life. Help me arrive safely at the bosom of the Lord Jesus, on the last day.
