Hello there. I hope your weekend has been going well. Closing more clients while your competitors are sleeping.
I would like to share with you an amazing method to increase your effectiveness.
Have you ever resumed office and if you are like me slept in the office and wake up in the morning all pumped up, having a lot of ideas to execute on...
All through the day, your plate was so full that you were moving from one project to another.
Towards the end of the day you tell yourself or anyone that cares to listen that "today was a busy day".
But if you ask yourself what were you able to achieve, you see a lot of half done job, a lot of wondering around and all. This is as a result of poor time management.
As the cliche goes; your time is your most priced possession. If it is don't you think you need to safe guard it more...
.. Don't you think you need to minimize its wastage if not eradicate it.
You would be asking how do we do that since there is a lot to do and you just need to get into them and grind.
A couple of years back I came across a time management graph known as the EISENHOWER Matrix.
It show 4 boxes labelled, 1 (important, urgent), 2 (important, not urgent), 3(urgent, not important), 4(not urgent, not important).
This is the way I use this graph; a night before, I put down the list of what I need to do the next day, then I categories them into the boxes.
With Box 1 carries the tasks I need to first execute in the day, the box 3 carries the next then Box 2 and Box 4.
The most important part of this all is Timing Stamp. The reason is if you don't time yourself, you might end up doing 2 tasks out of 10 lined up for the day.
This simple matrix has always worked for me. I can guarantee it would work for you too. Don't expect drastic changes on the first day.
Go build your business and make yourself, your team and your clients happy.
I wish you a great week ahead.
