‘This Woman Has Gone Through a Lot for Me’ — Ngo Monarch Honours Wife in Birthday Tribute
Their marriage began in his elder brother’s one-room apartment in Port Harcourt. When they finally rented a place of their own, rainwater seeped through the floor. For four years, they bailed water whenever it rained, sometimes with their little daughter joining in.
Those are the memories King Matthew Jonah Ogwuokwa Ibotile, the Okaan-Ama Ngo of Ngoland Andoni, has shared as he celebrates his wife, Queen Kezy, on her birthday.
Here is their journey in his own words:
CELEBRATING MY WIFE, THE QUEEN OF NGO KINGDOM ON HER BIRTHDAY
I'm making this post for two reasons namely, to thank God for preserving her life to a time like this, and second, to teach a little lesson from our marriage experience thus far.
Today, many people may only be seeing me as an accomplished person or as an admirable monarch but may not know how the present me they are admiring evolved. Let me use this opportunity to discuss it.
As at 2007 when I got married to my wife, Kezy, I didn't have an accommodation of my own in Port Harcourt. My wife and I were squatting with my elder brother in his one-room apartment in Marine Base, a shanty area of Port Harcourt.
In 2008, I rented my own batcher (half concrete and half wood) accommodation in the same area and then we started our own independent life.
As soon as the rain started that year, we discovered that our new accommodation was emitting water from the floor. So, whenever it rained, we would be bailing water from the floor. This would continue from May each year until December when the rains wouldn't fall anymore. We went through that experience for four years because we didn't have the resources to rent a better house.
Within that time, we had our first daughter and she would occasionally join us to "bail" the rain water. And in 2012, we moved to Eleme area of the Greater Port Harcourt City. In that place, we lived in a bush area for four years and then we relocated to the heart of Port Harcourt City in 2016. And from then, the Lord started favouring us. I started having some "juicy" posting in my Civil Service job. My wife too had then secured a job.
My wife had gone through the doctor's knife four times to give me the four amazing daughters that I have today.
As it pleases God, today, life is fairer. We have a small house in Port Harcourt and another one in Ngo, our home town. Today, my wife is a Chartered Accountant and the Queen of Ngo Kingdom.
So, this woman has gone through a lot for me and I thank God for gifting her to me.
Please join me celebrate my uncommon Queen.
Happy birthday to you, Pretty! May the Holy Father continue to bless and keep you for us, now and forevermore. Amen!
His Majesty
King Matthew Jonah Ogwuokwa Ibotile, PhD NNABIGET XV, Okaan-Ama Ngo of Ngoland Andoni
