Ahhh 😂
People are funny ooo.

This afternoon, a client called me after seeing my pig sales post online. He started making enquiries about our pigs, asked for the prices, the breeds, and everything he needed to know. I answered him professionally and explained everything in detail.

Then he asked,
“How will you deliver to Enugu?”

I told him we can waybill the pigs safely to Enugu in .

After that, he paused and asked me,
“Are you the owner of the pig farm or you’re working there?”

I said,
“I’m the owner.”

Omooo 😂
The man now said,
“You sound like a small girl.”

I just laughed.

So because someone sounds young, she can’t own a pig farm again? 😂

This thing reminded me of something that happened some years ago when I supplied pigs to a customer in Abuja.

I personally followed the pigs to the customer's farm. Immediately I came down from the vehicle, the woman there looked at me and asked:

“Where is the madam?”

I said,
“Ma, I’m the madam.”

At first, she tried to play smart and wanted to take advantage when she realised she was dealing with a “small girl”
But little did she know she was dealing with someone who is very alert and understands her business well 🤓

She didn’t succeed though.

Because I know what I’m doing 😌

Honestly, a lot of people still underestimate young people, especially young women in agriculture. They expect the owner of a farm to be one old serious man/woman 😅

Meanwhile, this same “small girl” will be 6 years in pig farming by November 2026 🐖❤️

Managing pigs, handling clients, supplying across states, solving farm problems daily, and still pushing forward...
Never underestimate anybody because of age, appearance, or voice. Grace, knowledge, consistency, and hard work do not have age limit 😌

One thing I have realized in agriculture is this:

Two farmers can start the same business…

One will say:
“There is no money in it.”

Another will say:
“This business changed my life.”

So what makes the difference?

Knowledge.
Management.
Consistency.
Patience.

Pig farming is profitable, but it is not a “get rich quick” business.

You must understand:
✔ Breed selection
✔ Feeding
✔ Biosecurity
✔ Medication
✔ Record keeping
✔ Marketing
✔ Pig production systems
✔ Piglet, sow, and boar management
✔ And proper farm management

A lot of people enter pig farming without knowledge, then blame the business when things go wrong.

Meanwhile, there are farmers quietly building houses, buying lands, training children in school, employing workers, travelling for business, and changing their lives through the same pig farming.

For me, pig farming is very lucrative because I am doing it right.

Pig farming changed my story from being a classroom teacher to:
✔ A farm owner
✔ A landlady
✔ An employer of labour
✔ A consultant
✔ A trainer
✔Car owner
✔And a businesswoman supplying pigs across different states in Nigeria and even Benin Republic.

So if the business is not paying you well, ask the right questions instead of concluding that pig farming is not lucrative.

No business is perfect.
Every business has challenges.

But if you are willing to learn and do things properly, pig farming can truly change your story.

I am a living testimony of that 🐖❤️

Yes, it is.

One mistake many beginners make is focusing only on buying pigs without understanding management.

I made a post sometime back advertising our pig dung at Nenpolit integrated farms, and some pig farmers commented that they don’t sell theirs.
That what they do is gather it in one place and burn it into ashes 🔥😂

Me reading the comments like: “Burn pig manure? In this economy?” 👁️👁️

This same pig manure people are buying for farming—you can use it for crop farming and you can equally use it in your garden as well.
It is organic fertiliser 🌱🐖

Importance of pig manure:
🌱 Improves soil fertility naturally
🌾 Boosts crop yield and plant growth
💧 Helps soil retain moisture
🪴 Supports healthy garden vegetables and flowers
♻️ Reduces waste by recycling nutrients back into the soil

Yesterday, Jos Christian Refuge for Children Foundation visited Nenpolit integrated farms and purchased a Large White weaner alongside 15 bags of pig manure for farming purposes this rainy season.
