BELATED CELEBRATION OF "EARTH DAY"

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22.

Worldwide, various events are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection, preservation and sustainability.

First celebrated in 1970, Earth Day now includes events in more than 193 countries, which are now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network.

Seeing Gatsy Cakes' Earth Day cake reminded us that we forgot to commemorate the day here.

Within your circle, little things like using biodegradable disposable packages instead of nylon or not dumping plastics in the drainage systems (gutter) or into the waterways and educating your team and family members to adopt simple environmental protection lifestyle can help in a great way.

"YOUR TIME IS ALL YOU HAVE TO SELL"

Dear friends,

There's no better time than today, that most of you resumed business officially for the year, to draw your attention to this all important asset - TIME.

You are already very aware of the 80/20 Rule: 80% of your results depend on 20% of your inputs.

"Because of the 80/20 rule, some things you do are worth more than other things, even though they take the same number of minutes and hours," Brain Tracy wrote.

Your goal is to focus on those activities that contribute the very most value to your life and [business].

If you spend most of your time on seemingly important things that are not relevant or immediately contributing to your 2021 life and business goal, you will never achieve that goal.

You can pray and vomit fire, if you do complete those prayers with matching actions on the most relevant activities of your action plan towards your goal, no miracle will occur. Rather, pray for health, for grace and helping hands to carry out your activities with discipline; eventually, the impacts will scale up.

I have been encouraging to work on your weekly action plans, this evening, I want to ask you to start preparing your "To-Do" list for tomorrows activities.

What activities did you not complete today that are carried over till to tomorrow? Put them down. What activities are there in tomorrow for you as a person? Meet with client, draft pattern for that dress you need to deliver first, attend a skills upgrade class, what?

Put them down in order of priority this night, this night is the best time to prepare for tomorrow. Just do it!

Time management experts say that when you diligently work with a personal "to-do" list prioritizing the most important activities, you gain two extra hours of productivity everyday.

Your status must change for the better this year, except YOU stop yourself.

Use your time well.

THIS WEEK REVIEW; NEXT WEEK PLAN

Which day is your weekly business review day when you also plan for the goal and activities of next week? Today is the first Friday in 2021.

To succeed in this modern business era, whether your business is a micro, small or medium enterprise, you have to learn and play like the "sharks" in the big league.

If you desire to build grow your business, increase your sales, and profit;

If you desire to get the kind of customers that will pay you your desired prices for service;

If you desire to start getting predictable consistent income flow;

If you desire to build a business brand that is respected and suatainable;

You MUST STOP waking up and going to the shop or sitting on your sewing machine at home from morning till night everyday and take things as they come.

You MUST START to practice and learn forward how successful businesses do their work that make them succeed.

During the end of year retreat (or when you had your end-of-year get-together), you must have reviewed your business for the year 2020: your achievements and challenges, your growth/loss in market shares, in capacity, in finance, new machines, etc.

You must have set new goals and strategize how to achieve them in this year 2021.

If you participated in our 2020 Fashion Business/2021 Planning Retreat, you did that seamlessly.

Now, 2021 is here. You must follow that plan and implement in bits.

If you did not participate, that's still not a problem, you must have done your own review and made your own plan. If you don't have a plan at all, it is not too late. You can begin now to plan for the year.

Breakdown your monthly goal into weekly target, tasks and activitiestivities. At the end of the week, sit together with your staff or partners or apprentices to review your week: what you achieved for the week against the set goal; what you failed to achieve and likely reasons why you didn't meet up. If you are still alone, don't worry, do it alone; very soon you will see you grow to employ more people.

Resolve any challenges and plan the way forward. Set new targets, tasks and activities for the next week with less from your review this week and in line with your overall plan for the month.

Good for you, I have given you simplified weekly action plan and report templates (here in the community) which you can use if you don't have yours.

So, depending on the day you have fix for yourselves (Friday or Saturday or Sunday, whatever it is), review your week and plan for the next.

This year, your business must GROW.
