Mr Shammah Yakubu, a member of staff of Isa Agwai Polytechnic Lafia and a coordinator of consultancy programme, was released from the bandits' abduction.
Mr Shammah was kidnapped in evening on Tuesday by 8p.m when he was about entering his house.
While making to know the reason for his kidnap, purported by his neighbours, 'Mr. Shammah is a good and righteous man'. In support of this claim, a woman who loves to be anonymous reports that he is known to be straightforward in his dealings with his duties and responsibilities as the coordinator who documents all receipts of all his transactions, negating the claim that the rector has put him there to embezzle funds. Mr Shammah was also said to be no member of any political party. There will be no need of suspecting his kidnap as a result of political involvement.
However, the woman suspected his kidnap as a result of the magnificence of his house along Kwandere road. In contrast to this claim, Mr. David, his neighbour said the genesis of kidnap would not have been as a result of his house because he only plastered the house but he had not finished working on his house. 'The house is not big', Mr. David claimed.
This morning, on Thursday, we heard that he was set free and presently in his house. Though when he was being released nobody knew and the amount of money he paid for his release.
We felicitate with him, his family and entire organisation that he didn't lose his life. Ultimate thanks go to Almighty God who has not turned his wife a widow and his children the fatherless.
We seize the time to pray for the release of others in the imprisonment. And plead for more comfort for those that lost their loved ones.
