Teachers, imagine slashing your grading time in half while giving students better feedback—sounds like a dream, right?

As a UI/UX designer passionate about creating meaningful solutions, I’ve always been drawn to projects that make a real difference. That’s why I’m thrilled to share a glimpse of Gradio—an AI-powered app I’m designing to revolutionize how teachers grade student work.

Here’s the story: A few months ago, I was talking with a teacher friend who was overwhelmed by grading.
She hadn’t had a free weekend in months, and I could see the toll it was taking on her. That conversation sparked an idea—what if I could design a tool to ease that burden? As a UI/UX designer, I set out to create Gradio, an app that’s intuitive, teacher-friendly, and truly impactful. I’m currently working on the onboarding flow (check out the sneak peek below!) ensuring every step feels seamless and empowering for teachers.

Gradio uses advanced AI to grade assignments, tests, and essays quickly and accurately, saving teachers hours of manual work. They can upload student work, and Gradio delivers instant, consistent feedback powered by cutting-edge tech. It’s not just about efficiency—it’s about quality. With customizable grading rubrics, Gradio adapts to each teacher’s unique needs, and it continuously improves over time. This lets educators focus on what they do best: inspiring and supporting their students.

The potential impact on education is huge.
Gradio helps teachers reclaim their time, reduce burnout, and dedicate more energy to lesson planning, student support, and fostering creativity in the classroom. Students benefit from faster, consistent feedback, while teachers can still add their personal touch. It’s technology and humanity working together to elevate learning—and as a designer, I’m proud to be part of that mission.
