Apparently, the old man went to the mountain at Ifite Awka, alone to pray and seek the face of God all through the night without his security details and his policemen attached to him as it has been a normal practice for the billionaire business man in the past.

In the course of the fervent prayers and his vulnerability, he was picked up by an unknown gunmen who took him away to an unknown location

The community where he comes from, Ekwulobia, has been thrown into confusion and mourning ever since the news of the abduction broke in the community.

He is the richest man from the community.

To show the significance and the importance of his influence in the community, the community has reportedly postponed their annual New Yam Festival, which has never been done before, because it does not make sense to the community to be celebrating while the family of their illustrious son is in confusion over the abduction of their father.

His Royal Majesty, Igwe (Engr) Emmanuel Chukwukadibia Onyeneke, the traditional ruler of Ekwulobia, has officially suspended the Ekwulobia New Yam Festival, originally scheduled for September 4th, due to the abduction of their esteemed son, Chief Sir Joseph Ezeokafor, CEO of Jesco Oil.

He expressed that the community of Ekwulobia cannot celebrate while their son remains in the custody of the kidnappers.

“I’m from Yola, Adamawa State, in the North-East, and I just graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).

When I first got admission to UNN, my parents, friends and almost everyone around me tried to discourage me from going to an Igbo university. They told me all sorts of things, and that the Igbo people would kill me, that they would even eat me. 😂

But I refused to listen. I wanted to study at UNN, so I came anyway.

During my first and second years, my mother was always worried about me. She would call me in the morning, afternoon and at night just to make sure I was okay and nothing had happened to me.

But after spending years in Igboland, I can honestly say that I have never experienced a place like this. The people, the culture, the way of life and the warmth I received completely changed my perception.

The same place everyone warned me about became a place I fell deeply in love with.

Now that I have graduated, I can confidently say this: if I have another life, I pray God makes me an Igbo person. 😂❤️
