Many thanks to my brother Chief and the amazing powerhouse of leaders and nation builders at Renaissance Africa Energy for this Award.
Thank you for the honour of your invitation to deliver the Keynote Speech at your National Independence Anniversary Celebration 🇳🇬 66 on the theme: ‘Roots of Pride … Sparks of Progress … Horizon of Possibilities’.
Through video presentations, I took the audience back in time to Saturday, October 1st 1960 (Independence Day) and nine months later to Tuesday, July 25th 1961 when America received Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa and his delegation with such pump and pageantry.
Through another video, we then journeyed to the future, to catch a glimpse of a New Nigeria, a glorious and great nation that is a beauty to behold.
Without a doubt, Nigeria 🇳🇬 is blessed with GREAT POTENTIAL, but to fully transform our country into a GREAT NATION, our citizens must become NATION BUILDERS who:
1. Love Nigeria
2. Desire (want) the best for Nigeria
3. Act in the very best interest of the nation everyday.
My ultimate clarion call to the audience was for us all to ARISE as Nation Builders and:
A ~ Accept Responsibility to solve our Nation’s problems; even the problems that our generation inherited.
B ~ Believe in our personal and generational capacity to manifest the greatness of our dear country.
C ~ Commit our time, energy, resources, ideas and intellect to collaborate with other nation builders to consciously build an Excellent Nigeria through our personal and professional commitment to excellence.
D ~ Deliver the promise of an Excellent Nigeria that we will be proud to hand over to the next generation; a great nation that they will be grateful to inherit from us.
As we celebrate the 66th anniversary of our Independence Day, please be reminded that Independence means Freedom … but more than freedom FROM our colonial masters, we now have the freedom TO dream, the freedom to BUILD and the freedom to DELIVER the Nigeria of our dreams.
So please share your dream for Nigeria in the comment section below.
God bless Nigeria 🇳🇬.
FD
