Just look how far we have come. Hip Hop as we have her today has been able to evolve and is even now integrating and infiltrating into the so-called pop culture of major societies in different countries of the world. Should we now erode the essence of the culture as influential, game-changing and trend-setting as this through naivety, sales concern or sheer ignorance? The answer is not far-fetched if we only through deep reflection and sobriety start educating the young and teeming generation because as for me they have missed the mark and precedence set by the founder and pioneer of our dear Hip-Hop which is 'not to allow outsiders violate our blocks' Jay Z rapped in 98 on Hard Knock Life song. The violators are the power that be, major corporations who don't know anything about Hip-hop but are trying to change the underlying status quo and state of affairs because of financial gains and not for the love.
It's high time we broadened our scope of knowledge and came to realisation of this biblical sayings, ' If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?' (KJV). Speaking of foundation, this is the essence of any buildings. If we lose the essence of Hip-Hop, be rest-assured just like a building with no substantial and weak foundation, collapse is only a matter of time. Collapse is inevitable and imminent if drastic measures are not taken.

My final and reserved thought on this, is that we should create Hip-Hop state of nations that would represent each countries all over the world. A concept similar to the United Nations. Consequently, through representation we would collectively and collaboratively move Hip-Hop to the next level. Enough of the f*kin bullsh*t! How would we start then? Education, my friends! Let put aside record sales concerns and let us educate the younger generations for the 'future' of Hip-Hop and when I say future, I use it carefully and even, sparingly because I don't mean Future, the trapper. I love him though but we need to put phone money into deposits and not glue to the ears; expecting connects. Wait as you so wish, even until kingdom comes, all you still get areas disconnects.
To this effect, I and my team are working tirelessly to start the education as soon as possible so we created a page on facebook: State and Evolution of Hip-Hop to address the past and present state of Hip-Hop. Hence, support by first liking the page, sharing posts and commenting without reservations. Feedbacks are also welcome.

In this part of the world, there is a disconnect. In the sense that there is no face representing true and real Hip-Hop. Even though, we have Afro Hip-Hop but in actual sense, it is still the hybridized extension of the original so it loses its essence as a result; because a lot of other things come with the essence of Hip-Hop herself. Culture. Lifestyle. Fashion. Dress. Business; and even many more. The question is: what is the culture of Afro Hip-Hop apart from being a music genre? Rhetorical isn't it? I'm not against it neither I'm for it. My best bet is just to be unbiased, detached, unattached and neutral. If we keep the status quo, the best we could get is having the Hip-Hop practitioners and enthusiasts come visit as tourists and not as stakeholders or 'students of the game'.

Unlike Football, Hip-hop is not event. She's a culture. A way of life with strictly adherent laws guided by its inherent basis. Heart. In this part of world, we are so much fascinated by the game of football. A game which we all know is based on sentiments garnished with racial prejudices and partialities disguised in their subtler and milder forms. Even, we say it's a kind of sport that unifies races and colours together, however, beneath this, are lot of suppressed discrimination, hate, contempt and anger if try to win the game especially some Europeans. On the other side of the fence, Hip-hop doesn't just stagnate with the blacks but solidifies the bonds and ties of people of different races and colours around the globe. Mention any in the world that she hasn't reached?
Have any African countries brought the World Cup to their home countries before. Hell, No!
So f*k football! I hate the game. I hate the politics! In place of this godforsaken soccer game, why don't we ball with Hip-Hop games and add recognition to something that will eventually lift us as a people. +2347030805452

Hip Hop is just a humble messenger doing her job: delivering 'subliminal messages' for your cerebral interpretations. When realities set in i.e the effects and consequences of your actions you will be rewarded accordingly. If good, then glory. If evil, then punishment. Stop blaming Hip-Hop for the ills of the society whose primordial natures ooze greed and corruption. Don't hate the game, hate the player.
She is the only art and craft that has stood the test of time in her finest rigour and agility. I stand to be corrected, though. No thanks to these so called mumble rappers. Please stop f*king up the game, mumble rappers! Yours are just stillbirths due to lyrical and artistic miscarriage not trueborns of Mother Hip-hop. You embarrass me and I hate to be. You are not even closer to being a mere extension of what you claim to represent. Your days are surely numbered. The god emcees have spoken. Even Hov said it and I feel like a greek god when I quote it. 'Your phone money is a disconnect' I paraphrased. You are damn sure you ain't reaching us, trap n*ggas because you are trapped, n*ggas!

A cold hearted muthaf*ker is what she will turn you into. A monster. Not-give-a-f*ker! She also has a funny way of balancing you up with her sensitivity and vulnerability. 'Every thug is a lady'. 'Heaven I need a hug'. Only Hip-Hop can do this. It's balanced in all ramifications.
Aside this mixed attribute of Hip-Hop, she is thought-provoking hence, propels people into actions. Selling drugs, picking that gun up, stop gang-banging, stop smoking ma*****na, starting a business so on and so forth. The moral of the story is this it depends on what you have in mind originally. Let me remind you empathically, for instance, a rap song won't tell you directly to kill someone, it would rather leave you to your choices and decisions by delivering subtle and subliminal messages to work on your already programmed psyche or subconscious which could have been weaved with good or evil intentions. So Hip-hop is not the devil. You are the devil! The sole architect of your destiny, period! And let me quote Paul, ' I want to do what is good, but I don't. I don't want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway'. (NLT)

If she is what she is now just imagine what she would be in years to come not necessarily, monetary wise but in terms of her culture and influence. Think about it as you proceed.
I used to give a f*k as a young man but Hip-Hop showed me a better way on how not to give f*k in the most appropriate and acceptable manner. An average Hip-Hopper or Hip-Hop adherent is that street hustler who wants to feed his family. He soon realises that in order to survive he must never developed cold feet in his daily pursuits or else he can be perceived a weak man. A p***y. A b*tch *ss n*gga. The heart beat of gang-infested neighbourhoods and streets is Hip-Hop. They breathe Hip-hop and die Hip-Hop. Street laws revolve around Hip-Hop culture and Influence. Ten Crack Commandments for example.

I stand to be corrected. Hip-Hop is even older than classics and opera. It is poetry. It is poem. It is deeply rooted in the heart from where it stems from. It is a culture; a way of life. It is incarnation. It is intoxicating brewed from the finest and best barley from far away Africa.
If you want to really enjoy Hip-Hop you must be willing to let go of other preoccupations so that it could take its space and place but you if can't, at least make it your first priority. As you are very much aware, it is greatly diverse and ubiquitous as an art. In short from my own view I dare say that Hip-Hop is Art because it embodies everything art has got to offer: poetry, graffiti, culture, clothings, food and the lists go on. Hip-Hop is encompassing. Somehow, so far so good it has managed to subtly invade the least expected sectors such as politics, government, corporate organizations, companies e.t.c. It will always find its way into the hearts of many people from all walk of life. Are you asking how she manage to achieve such a great feat? (Henceforth, I will represent Hip-Hop as a she) Do you want to know why? The reason has been aforementioned above. Remember? The fact that she is deeply rooted in the heart and stems from there? But let me expatiate and buttress my point. Hip-Hop resides in every men's souls in a sense because she appeals to both the rational and emotional minds. For this reason, she cuts across all boundaries. She can be an anthem for a street hustler and can also relate and attend to the emotional needs of an heartbroken lady through so many ways.
Hip-Hop as a genre of music has evolved over the years. What fascinates me the most is that she grew from virtually nothing to being what she is today. The biggest and largest mega art and media industry that even supersedes the movie industry. A billion-dollar industry.

I'm not going to bore you with academics. So if you are looking forward to a long lecture on Hip-Hop get ready to be disappointed. I will simply advise you to probably go to a music school for this. Hip-Hop comes from the heart hence can't be confined to the four walls of any institutions this includes school and the likes. Thus, expecting such a heart-inspired piece of information and knowledge from any institutions is sheer waste of time and effort. Be open-minded coupled with rapt attention and it will fill you up to the brim until your cup runneth over beyond your wildest imagination and expectation similar to a child with outstretched arms will be rewarded with a warm embrace from his or her mother. Don't just hear it, listen, meditate on it and do it. Only then will you be rewarded. Slowly but surely your reward is inevitable if only you perverse and adhere to.
If you are anticipating historicals i guess my apology is in order but sorry to disappoint you again. You can google search it if you want but I can assure and guarantee you that you won't find anything concrete because it's not superficial. It may seem to be on the surface but 'it is deeper than rap'. All these are just extensions. The cars, mansions, pimps, hoes and other paraphernalias, watches, bezels; just to mention afew.

The day I heard rap, my life changed. Hip-Hop saved my life. I remember that Tupac Shakur intro, "That's why I f*ked your b*tch you fat muthaf*ker!" he spazzed. Within me, I was like 'what the bleep?' and that was it.
Little warning before you proceed: remember this is just a short story of Hip-Hop culture and influence from a raw perspective of an African boy so endeavor to excuse my use of words and languages. If you don't know anything about it please DO NOT CONTINUE. I warn you. It's too late now.
