Someone asked me recently about how to know if their CV is ATS-friendly. So here are a few quick tips.

Many companies now use ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) to scan CVs before a recruiter even sees them.

To improve your chances:

1. Use a clean and simple CV format
2. Avoid too many graphics, tables or fancy designs
3. Include keywords from the job description naturally
4. Use standard headings like "Work Experience", "Skills" and "Education"
5. Save your CV as a PDF unless stated otherwise
6. Keep your experience clear and achievement-focused

A good CV should be easy for both recruiters and software to read.

An interview is not an interrogation.

It is a conversation between two parties, you and the organisation getting to know each other and determining whether there is a genuine fit.
Yet so many candidates walk into interview rooms already defeated. Stiff. Guarded. Answering questions like they are on trial when in reality, both sides are simply trying to answer one question: are we right for each other?

Here is what changes when you shift that mindset: Your posture changes. Your tone changes. You stop trying to survive the interview and start actually showing up in it.
Because here is the truth, the candidate who walks in relaxed, confident, and genuinely engaged is always more memorable than the one who rehearsed perfect answers but forgot to be human.
