*PROUD MOMENT OF AN INSPIRING AND SEASONED EDUCATOR*

📌A few days ago during the inauguration of the newly elected prefects in my school, I experienced one of those beautiful moments that remind you why your work, sacrifices, prayers, corrections, mentoring, and investment in young people truly matter. ❤️

📌As the names of the new prefects were being announced, one name especially caught my attention and filled my heart with pride.

📌Years ago, when this young girl was in Year 7, I was her class teacher, and she served as my class captain. Even at that young age, she stood out — intelligent, respectful, articulate, responsible, focused, and exceptionally well behaved.

Over the years, she remained consistent.

📌She kept growing in excellence, leadership, confidence, discipline, and character. She represented the school in several debate competitions both nationally and internationally, winning laurels and making the school proud.

📌And now… Years later…
That same little girl has emerged as the HEAD PREFECT of the school. 👏❤️

Honestly, my heart was full.

📌It felt just like a proud parent watching their child grow beautifully and succeed.

📌Moments like this constantly remind me that beyond academics, character still matters. Proper nurturing still matters. Mentorship still matters. Intentional parenting still matters.

📌Children do not become outstanding accidentally. They are guided, corrected, mentored, nurtured, encouraged, and intentionally developed.

*Parents by Actions not by Title*

📌A parent is not simply the person who gave birth to a child.

📌A real parent is the person who nurtures, guides, corrects, teaches, supports, protects, and intentionally raises a child into becoming a responsible human being.

📌Giving birth makes you a biological parent. But nurturing a child with love, wisdom, values, discipline, patience, presence, and intentionality — that is what truly makes parenting meaningful.

So the question is…

👉Who are you?
👉What kind of parent are you becoming?

👉Are you parenting only by title?
👉Or are you truly involved in shaping the life, mindset, behaviour, emotions, confidence, and future of your child?

📌Many children today have providers but lack nurturers.

📌They have people who buy things for them but do not truly connect with them.

📌They have adults around them but lack guidance, mentorship, correction, emotional support, and values.

📌And sadly, society is already showing us the consequences.

👉Parenting is beyond paying school fees.
👉It is beyond buying gadgets and clothes.
👉It is beyond posting beautiful family pictures online.

📌True parenting is found in the daily sacrifices, conversations, corrections, teachings, examples, prayers, consistency, and presence we give to our children.

📌The world does not only need intelligent children.

📌The world needs emotionally healthy, responsible, respectful, disciplined, empathetic, and value-driven children.

📌And those kinds of children are not raised accidentally.
They are raised intentionally.

📌This is why I remain passionate about speaking to parents, mentoring young people, and advocating for proper child upbringing and value-based parenting.

📌Because the future we desire will first be built inside our homes.

*Raising Godly Home in a Changing and Corrupt World*

📌Over the past two Sundays at ECWA Ketu Lagos, I had the privilege of teaching on the topic: “Building/Raising a Godly Home in a Changing and Corrupt World.”

📌During the sessions, I spoke passionately about the need for parents to become more intentional in raising children in today’s world where negative influences are everywhere — from social media to peer pressure and the fast-changing culture around us. I reminded parents that a godly home is not built by chance. It is built daily through love, communication, discipline, prayers, godly examples, and conscious parenting.

📌One thing I strongly emphasized is that parenting goes beyond providing food, shelter, and education. Our children need guidance, values, emotional connection, character, and spiritual direction. If we do not intentionally shape our children, the world will gladly do it for us.

📌My vision has always been to help parents raise children who are not just academically successful, but also godly, responsible, disciplined, emotionally healthy, and valuable to society. This is one of the reasons I created the *Outstanding Children and Teenagers Academy* — a mentorship platform where children and teenagers are intentionally groomed in character, confidence, leadership, responsibility, discipline, and lasting values that will help them stand out positively in life.

*Happy International Day of the Boy Child*

Today, May 16th, the world marks the International Day of the Boy Child — and honestly, this conversation has never been more important than it is today !

📌For a long time, society has focused heavily on correcting men without intentionally raising boys. Yet every man we see tomorrow is first a boy being shaped today.

📌The truth is this:
If we do not intentionally build our boys now, society will pay dearly for it later.

📌Behind every responsible man is usually a boy who was guided.
📌Behind every violent, careless, emotionally disconnected or irresponsible man is often a boy who was neglected, ignored, poorly mentored or wrongly influenced.

📌Our boys need more than food, gadgets, expensive schools and trendy clothes.

They need:
✔Guidance
✔ Emotional support
✔ Discipline
✔ Positive male role models
✔ Character building
✔ Mentorship
✔ Conversations
✔ Accountability
✔ Purpose
✔ Love with structure

📌Today’s world is aggressively influencing boys — through social media, peer pressure, toxic trends, po*******hy, violence, unhealthy masculinity, and the dangerous idea that “being hard” means having no emotions or empathy.

📌This is why the themes surrounding this year’s celebration deeply matter:

🔹 Boys for Integrity — Raising boys with good habits, values and responsibility
🔹 Flourish and Thrive — Investing in boys for stronger families and communities
🔹 Breaking the Silence — Creating safe spaces for boys to express emotions and mental struggles

👉Many boys are silently hurting.
👉Many are confused.
👉Many are growing up without guidance.
👉Many are learning manhood from the internet instead of responsible adults.

😞And sadly, many parents only react when the damage is already visible.

📌The boy child does not only need correction; He needs connection.

👉He needs adults who will intentionally teach him:
👉How to respect people.
👉How to manage emotions.
👉How to speak responsibly.
👉How to treat girls and women properly.
👉How to handle pressure.
👉How to lead with integrity.
👉How to become a man with character and purpose.

📌Because when we raise better boys, we reduce violence, abuse, crime, irresponsibility and emotional brokenness in society.

📌When we build boys intentionally, we build safer homes, healthier marriages, stronger communities and a better future.

📌This is why I remain passionate about speaking to parents, schools, churches and young people.
This is why mentorship matters.
This is why right parenting matters.

📌The future will not suddenly become better by wishes and prayers alone.
We must deliberately raise boys who are emotionally healthy, responsible, respectful, disciplined and value-driven.

📌To every parent raising a boy:
👉Please do not only ask if he is doing well academically.
👉Ask if he is becoming a good human being.

📌Because the world does not only need successful men. The world desperately needs good men.

📌A few days ago, I witnessed something that I honestly have not been able to forget… and it left me deeply burdened as an educator and parent-child coach.

📌I was at a health facility filled with parents and children waiting to see doctors. There were not enough seats, so many people were standing.

📌Close to me was a woman with her little boy — a child who looked about 7 or 8 years old. The boy was comfortably seated, completely engrossed in his tablet, smiling and playing games while his mother stood nearby.

📌After standing for a while, the woman probably became tired and attempted to sit on a damaged plastic chair placed on a block. Sadly, the chair gave way immediately.

The woman fell backwards.

Her face almost hit the ground.
Her palms landed heavily on the floor.

It was shocking.

📌I was the closest person to her, so I quickly rushed to help lift her up while other people also came to assist.

📌But what shocked almost everybody there was not even the fall itself…

It was the reaction of her son.

📌The boy watched his mother fall.
Watched adults rush to help her.
Watched people panic around her.

📌Yet he remained buried in his gadget… smiling… pressing buttons… completely unmoved.

📌People around began asking:
👉“Is that not your mother?”
👉“You cannot even say sorry?”
👉“You cannot even stand up?”

Nothing.

😞No concern.
😞No remorse.
😞No attempt to help.

🤔 And honestly… my heart sank.

📌Long after I left that health facility, I kept thinking deeply about what I witnessed.

📌What exactly is happening to many children today?

📌Are we raising children who know how to operate gadgets but do not know how to show empathy?
Children who can navigate screens perfectly but struggle to show kindness, compassion, responsibility, or concern for others?

📌Because beyond academics, beyond expensive schools, beyond gadgets, beyond good clothes…

👉A child must still learn humanity.

👉A child must learn kindness.
👉A child must learn empathy.
👉A child must learn respect.
👉A child must learn to care.

📌And all these begin from the home.

📌Children are not born naturally considerate.
They are intentionally taught — by correction, conversations, modeling, guidance, mentoring, and consistent parenting.

📌This is why parenting today must go beyond “providing.” We must raise emotionally healthy children with values, conscience, empathy, and character.

📌Because if a child can watch his own mother fall without concern, how will that child treat classmates, teachers, friends, or strangers outside the home?

📌Parents, we really have a lot to do.

📌This burden is one of the reasons the Right Parenting Academy was created — to help parents become more intentional in raising godly, responsible, emotionally balanced, and excellent children in today’s world.

📌There is a burden in my heart that keeps growing stronger every single day… and that burden is the future of our children and young people. ❤️

📌Everywhere we turn today, we see the urgent need for intentional parenting, proper guidance, value-based education, mentorship, and the right examples for the younger generation.

📌This is why I remain deeply committed to speaking, teaching, mentoring, and enlightening parents, educators, teenagers, and children wherever God gives me the opportunity.
