MAY 22 — MEMORIAL OF ST. RITA OF CASCIA

Today, we celebrate the Memorial of St. Rita of Cascia, the beloved Patroness of Impossible Causes. Her life was marked by suffering, grief, sacrifice, and unanswered prayers, yet she remained faithful to Christ with patience, forgiveness, and hope. St. Rita reminds us that holiness does not come from a perfect life, but from trusting God even when life becomes painful and difficult.

When our hearts feel tired and our situations seem impossible, St. Rita’s life teaches us not to give up. God is still listening, still working, and still able to bring healing, peace, and light into the places we thought were beyond repair. May we surrender our burdens to the Lord and pray with faith, courage, and perseverance.
