July Devotional – Day 18
Theme: Strength for Today
Bible Reading: Isaiah 40:29–31
Key Verse:
"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." — Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)
Life's challenges can leave us physically, emotionally, and spiritually exhausted. Yet God never intended for us to depend solely on our own strength. His power is made available to everyone who waits on Him in faith, prayer, and obedience.
Waiting on the Lord is not passive—it is an active trust that His timing is perfect and His grace is sufficient. As we seek Him daily, He replaces our weakness with His strength, our fear with courage, and our discouragement with hope. Whatever burden you carry today, place it in His hands. He will sustain you and give you the strength you need for every step.
Prayer:
Father, I acknowledge that my strength is limited, but Yours is unlimited. Renew my spirit today and help me to rely on You in every situation. Empower me to keep moving forward with faith and confidence. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Thought by Cyril O. Agary:
"The strength that carries a believer through life's greatest battles is not found within, but in complete dependence on the God who never grows weary."
