While TaxProMax, introduced in June 2021, automated key processes such as tax registration, filing, payments, and Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) issuance, it was hindered by operational inefficiencies including system downtime, navigation complexity, and limited scalability.
Rev360 is positioned as an enhanced upgrade rather than a complete overhaul, with full data migration from TaxProMax. It is designed to deliver faster processing, improved usability, stronger system integration, and enhanced transparency in tax compliance. The platform will continue to serve as a comprehensive, end-to-end solution for core tax functions, including VAT and Companies Income Tax filings, withholding tax management, and TCC access.
Aligned with the NRS vision of “Tax Administration 3.0”, Rev360 introduces advanced capabilities such as real-time reporting, improved analytics, scalable infrastructure, and more effective taxpayer engagement. Notwithstanding these improvements, taxpayers should anticipate transitional challenges, including potential data reconciliation issues and initial system disruptions.
In preparation, taxpayers are advised to update their records on TaxProMax, download essential documents, and familiarise themselves with Rev360 ahead of the June filing deadline.
In essence, Rev360 represents a progressive shift towards a more efficient, transparent, and fully automated tax system in Nigeria. While the transition may require adjustment, it underscores the broader move towards a modernised and intelligence-driven tax administration environment.Nigeria’s digital tax administration framework.
