For the past few years, we have watched our security slip away and our cost of living climb to unbearable heights. But on June 20, 2026, the power to rewrite our story belongs entirely to you.

My contract with you—the ACHIEVES Agenda is ready. I am not asking for your blind trust. I am offering a legally binding commitment to deliver a secure, productive, and affordable Ekiti State. From 24/7 high-tech drone tracking to protect our communities, to free healthcare for our mothers and children, and 200 modern tractors to boost our local farmers, we have a clear plan to lift Ekiti up.

📜 CONTRACT WITH EKITI STATE: THE ACHIEVES AGENDA

To the gracious people of Ekiti State,

I stand before you with a legally accountable contract: the ACHIEVES AGENDA.

It is my blueprint to transform our land into a secure, productive, and prosperous state. If I fail to deliver 70% of these commitments by 2029, I will not seek re-election.

Here is my promise to you:

🌾 AGRICULTURAL REVOLUTION - that will ensure that every farming family earn no less than a living wage and grow from subsistence fo prosperity.

🎆 CULTURE AND TOURISM - to set up platforms for the creation of 3,000 jobs in entertainment, hospitality and creative industries.

🏥 HEALTHCARE TRANSFORMATION - to ensure that basic healthcare is free, all other forms of healthcare is affordable and accessible and medical workers are well treated and no longer have to flee abroad.

👷‍♂️ INDUSTRIAL GROWTH - Upscale technology incubation for entrepreneurs, provide micro loans for SMEs, establish skills and industrial parks across the 3 Senatorial district and ensure every Ekiti resident has a dignified job.


📚 EDUCATION TRANSFORMATION - We will provide FREE quality education from primary to secondary levels and establish the University of Agriculture and Mechanical Studies in Ikole-Ekiti.

🛣️ VIBRANT INFRASTRUCTURE - We will use indigenous means to ensure the quality construction of rural roads to connect our communities and build 1,600 affordable housing units with flexible payment plans for public workers.

🌳 ENVIRONMENT SUSTAINABILITY - We will ensure we plant more trees, set up modern waste systems with recycling schemes and adopt climate-smart agriculture that will protect farmers from weather uncertainties.

🛡️ SECURITY TRANSFORMATION - We will set up the Command Center (ESICC) for 24/7 drone and satellite tracking of forests and highways, recruit and train 2,000 Amotekun personnel using military and police experts. We will also launch a Forest Guards Programme employing 500 local hunters.

On June 20, 2026, you hold the key to unlock Ekiti's true potential.

CHILDREN'S DAY: SDP GUBER CANDIDATE, OBAFEMI CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION ON CHILD SAFETY AND EDUCATION TO GUARD EKITI’S FUTURE

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate for Ekiti State, Otunba Olugbenga Peter Obafemi, has reached out to families across the state on this year’s Children’s Day, calling for an immediate, collective effort to protect the younger generation and restore the pride of Ekiti.

Speaking from the campaign headquarters in Ado-Ekiti, Otunba Obafemi stated that the celebration must be more than an annual ritual of marches and speeches. Instead, it must serve as a serious reminder of the specific obligations that adults and leaders owe to every child in our communities.

"Every child in Ekiti deserves a life free from fear," Obafemi said. "Our parents must be able to send their children to school with complete peace of mind, confident that they will return home safely. Protecting our classrooms and neighbourhoods is the first and most fundamental duty of governance."

The business leader turned politician also pointed out that the famous intellectual heritage of Ekiti is under threat if quality education becomes a luxury that only wealthy families can afford. He stated that his administration would focus on making top-tier schooling completely accessible to every household, ensuring that a family’s financial status never stops a child from reaching their full potential.

"We are a people who value knowledge," Obafemi continued. "But knowledge cannot thrive without proper structures, well-funded schools, and respected teachers. We must build a society where the hard work of our youth in the classroom translates directly into real jobs and opportunities once they graduate."

As the state prepares for the upcoming polls in just twenty days, Otunba Obafemi urged all citizens, community groups, and leaders to look beyond politics today and commit to the hard work needed to create a safer, fairer tomorrow.

My name is Otunba Olugbenga Peter Obafemi, and I am running for Governor of Ekiti State under the Social Democratic Party (SDP) because our people deserve far better than what they have been forced to accept.

For years, those who have governed Ekiti have taken your trust, your votes and your future for granted while poverty grows, businesses struggle, young people leave home in frustration and communities remain neglected.

Enough is enough.

I am not a candidate packaged by political emperors. I am standing with the ordinary people of Ekiti, the farmers, traders, artisans, teachers, students, civil servants and struggling families whose voices are rarely heard once elections are over.
